In each deal today ownership saved money, good fo them, but it looks like we won't be a cap team for years. I am tired of the rebuild.

It's definitely frustrating but I think we are finally doing it right. I think that Shero rushed things and that's why we are here. Luckily we have guys like Hischier, Hughes, Bratt, and Smith, as well as guys we just received in the last few trades, that will help us in the future. I think we have something to look forward to.

How come nobody has commented on getting Claesson in the Vatanen trade? I mean he’s at worst a pretty good defender for the B-Devs. At best another bottom pairing guy.

I don't think Shero rushed things necessarily, he was able to make a bunch of moves without giving up a whole lot of value. Its just that outside of Hischier, Blackwood, Coleman and Palms almost everything went wrong. Hall wasn't nearly as dominant this season (not that we could expect Hart level every season), Subban didn't bounce back, Simmonds was ok, Hughes is having trouble creating goals, other young players didn't take a step forward, Gusev needed 15 games to adjust to the NHL. If there is one thing I fault Shero is that the team had to many players that play a similar game.

I really liked Ray Ray but I think you hit the nail on the head. Between that and Hynes never pulling off fast attacking and supportive the team hasn’t played well. A fairly decent amount of talent even now but not well constructed.

I wasn't pooping on Shero, I like him and the moves he made. I definitely agree that some things didn't pan out that weren't necessarily his fault but in my opinion he tried to speed the process up a bit more than he should have. Nonetheless, I'm happy where we are.

Did I hear Fitz say that new kid we got is top 3 material? or did he mean top 3 lines?
