I don’t understand why Leafs fans want Dubas to do anything.

They clearly are not beating Boston or Tampa.

Trading Barrie will not bring back anyone or anything that would make a difference.

The smart play is to do nothing, get Rielly back, limp into the playoffs and make $300 million in two home playoff games.

See you in September.

- Atomic Wedgie

Asset management. A first or even second round pick for Barrie can be used in a draft day trade in a package to actually acquire much needed D help. Barrie will not be the difference of whether we "limp" into the playoffs or not.

Thirty minutes to the trade deadline, so things can change quickly on this day, but as of 2:30 p.m. ET, TOR is not close to trading Tyson Barrie.

I’m not really happy with Kerfoot for Kadri if this is the case.

Currently sitting in the food court, with absolutely no desire to go back to work.

And it has nothing to do with trade deadline day.

Trade the UFAs. reclaim some assets. Admit defeat. It's the first step in the recovery process.

Agreed. Copy the exact impatient and unrealistic approach done by every Leaf head office since 1967.

Recoup a pick or 2?

Keeping Barrie is the move that won't accomplish anything.

I would be ok with Stetcher and a 2nd rd pick for Barrie at this point.. Can't risk losing Barrie for nothing

Respectfully disagree - They can make the playoffs without Barrie, working on a deal with Vegas for Barrie for a first and two prospects.

I do think it is the best option.. Trade Barrie if you have no intention of re-signing him
