Yeah the only possible explanation for this is that Kahun is a problem in the locker room. Nothing else adds up. His over all game is better, he’s cost controlled. What the hell happened here?

E-Rod (Dirty pod racer) female doged and complained about being benched in buffalo. not sure how you can handle that going forward.

I understand Bjug and ZAR are injured, but, when they come back, that's like adding 4 forwards to the rotation. Bjug has to be traded now for a defenseman, right? They won't be out THAT long......

also, haven't noticed anyone say this yet, but, Marleau has played a ton of games without missing due to injury. That had to be an extra incentive for the Pens at this point. Too bad JJ is such an Iron Horse out there.....

So overall JR makes a solid move and makes the fan base happy. He gets a leader and someone who is a little bit harder to play against. We all sit here and ponder his next move to go up against Washington's grit and size, as well as Boston's grit and size for the playoffs. JR's next move is Conor fricken Sheary. Fantastic...Unless he gets moved in the next few minutes in another trade for Big Joe or a box of pencils I take this as a pretty disappointing move. I would have loved to get Big Joe and call it a day. I actually don't mind Rodrigues. He previously showed flashes of being good on Buffalo. Man do I wish he got Vesey instead of Sheary.

Anyone got eyes on Kahun and Sheary’s scoring rate metrics at 5v5 this season? For whatever reason hockey reference doesn’t have that updated for the current season.

optimistically sure they did, but trochek has not had a great season, and vatanan is good but has been injured for a while now...

same issue with bjustadt he's been hurt so why would anyone want him?

Exactly.... We already have a Sheary. Though Simon is a more versatile player who doesn't get manhandled so easily.

Kingerski isn't the best source, but he said earlier today Kahun may go because the Pens don't feel he's carved out a definitive role. I'd say that's garbage, he'd be good as a depth forward and would have liked to see him get a real look with Crosby, but the trade happened so maybe his sources were right.
