not every time, but at some point if you disagree more often than not, yes you do.
like I said they should both be fired, so it's irrelevent wether who's choice it is.

Its actually impressive how few draft picks have panned out since Price was drafted in 2005.

Hopefully, journalists will start removing their white gloves instead of waving pom poms.

Something has to be done ... boycott the games folks, it's the only leverage we fans have.

This was a disastrous scrum for him. Yikes!

C'est sur qu'il allait pas planter ses scouts en pleine conférence de presse.

the most concerning part of his press conference is his " we are going to be competitive next season" Everyone knows their window has closed and its time to blow it up. But he is happy to just sneak into the playoffs and win a round then miss for 3 seasons. I'm getting tired of this mediocre bullpoop that gets you nowhere.

well, that depends what he will do this summer.
if he does nothing, like last year, they will suck again. no surprise there.

but if he makes a few moves, who knows?
they are still only 6 points from a playoffs spot.

So let's see ...

- Bergy still believes in this core even though we missed the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years.

- We could have gotten a better draft pick but he wanted to do a favor to Kovy because of his long 20 games career with us.

- Our scouting staff is doing a bang up job even though almost none of our current roster players was drafted/developed in-house (and our AHL team has been brutal for the last 10 years). We've just been very unlucky.

- Looking at the future, Price and Weber will still be dominant (when they are in rocking chairs) by the time we are competitive again so it's a good idea to keep them.

Love this plan Bergy ... sign me up for season tickets.

ok, i get that, but how far are they from being a legit Stanley Cup contender? its not good enough, IMO, to just squeek into the playoffs only to lose to the boston bruins in the first round.

oh, there you are right. they are very far from being a legit contender.
need to get better and bigger.
that is not 2-3 moves, that is 3-4 years IF their prospects pan out. and we all know that's a big IF.

Its a huge if, but thats the best way to become a contender. You usually don't get the elite players picking 10-18 in the draft where they seem to draft every season. Just hearing him say that its basically status quo for next year, is very disappointing.

they need to trade Drouin and Byron imo. there's no way around it. especially if they expect Caufield to make the team in a few years. enough with the smurfs! you can have 1 or 2, not 5-6.
Gallagher and Caufield should be the only 2 going forward.
and Domi is not far behind, depends if he plays like last year or this year.
and Mete too, out.

Worst thing that can happen is we make the playoffs next year and win a round. Everyone gets raises and Bergevin is here for another 3-4 years

agreed. They are all decent players but you cant have 3 lines of them. They are missing the big top line centre, but hopefully kotkeniemi can turn into that 4 or 5 years down the road.
