Probably not since they sent Koivula down and called him back up. I'd guess they sent him down so he wouldn't have to remain on the NHL roster for the remainder of the season, and called him back up so he can go tomorrow if Brassard can't.

Gotta think Koivula is still there until Cizikas is back. He'll center the fourth line and we'll probably see a little bit of mixing and matching in the bottom six.

For now, I wonder if we don't see:

Lee-Barzal-Eberle
Beau-Nelson-Bailey
Ladd/MDC-JGP-Komarov
Martin-Koivula-The Coon

or maybe they flip-flop Bailey and Komarov to give Pageau a little more talent to work with.

Haven't heard yet, but yeah, I would have been happy with a 7th

That's how I felt when we traded AMac in the off season. The Flyers fans even came here to "gloat" while we all laughed at them.

I seem to remember telling a few Sabres fans here that the Okposo signing was a poor one and they couldn't accept it. Not lumping them all into that category, but I believe several (if not most) of them thought it was a great deal.

Yep. Kyle was never worth that money. Good guy, good player but not worth those $$.

Is Brassard even healthy?
- potvin05

No, but an injury was only way to get this guy out of lineup. i still scratch my head in what Trotz sees this this guy or DaColle.

Like the Pageau move today even though probably overpaid but we signed him too.

what a great first game for Pageau against Rags.

I'm going to enjoy this one for as long as possible and so will you.

You wouldn't be happy unless there was 10% turnover every week.

Yeah I’d really like it if they didn’t initiate Pageau with Komarov. That’s like hazing the poor bastard 😂

Have to think they'll want to stick Bailey back in the top 6. Maybe you could throw Komarov on the fourth line and stick Croonjackal with Pageau and (hopefully) Dal Colle. I don't want to see Ladd's corpse trotted out there against a high-octane Rangers offense

The sooner I don't have to watch Kuhnhackl, the better. Every time I see someone setting him up for a great scoring chance all I think of is

*that's "don't throw it to stone hands" for Chief, who doesn't watch movies.

He may not be down for long. Ladd looked okay in his one game up and 'could' have an impact, but I definitely would prefer Bellows. We're unquestionably a better team now, but still lack a true sniper.
- keaner17

No doubt we need a trigger man - hopefully this summer Lou addresses that.

I think your trigger-men are in BPT developing. They're not adding a high-end offensive piece this summer with no cap room.

As far as that type of player goes, all our eggs are in the Wahlstrom/Bellows basket.

With JGP, if Brassard can go do you think they throw him on that line to reunite him with Beau and Nelson? That was a pretty potent line in the beginning of the year and put Bailey with JGP and dare I say Ladd or MDC ?
