Ryan Kennedy of Hockey news had Johnson at 29
Russ Cohen had Johnson at 23
See how it's subjective - SDSabre
And Brink at 15th.
You said BPA.
There was always a forward better than Johnson still on the board no matter how you look at it.
Its nice to see you defending Botts drafting ability though |

Colin Miller being shopped the most currently with Montour/Risto behind
If Canes get him and Trocheck that’s a huge win for their playoff push - Beezer33
Yeah miller or Risto seem to fit what Lebrun has tweeted about Carolina |

The value of Johnson was the same as the forwards he passed over. The problem is we needed a forward in our system more than a D right now. |

Can anyone tell me why the Miracle team was at the Trump rally???? What a bunch of hypocrites and they can all go suck on their medals now! - scol354412
Winners like to associate with other winners, that's why.
Now go cry some more little girl like you and your ilk have for the past for 4 years.
However, I'd suggest saving some of those tears.
Easily another 4 years coming up!

Watching you and your ilk cry and rage for the past 4 years have been the best 4 years of my life.
Please by all means, please continue. 🤣🤣 |

Not really, but you do you amateur scout. I was actually just teaching you the basic English word of subjective because you don't seem to get it. |

Why would Pageau want to come here? - buffalofan19
Exactly. He could just stay in Ottawa. About the same situation.
Everyone here needs to temper expectations.
This will be the 5th time I’m saying this:
Nothing is going to happen, no one wants to play in Buffalo. No one will waive a NTC, NMC to play here, no one wants our UFA’s.
Botts still thinks we are going to make the playoffs so no roster player will get moved except maybe Miller or Bogo and one is already gone |

Don't disagree. 4 years ago, we (seemingly) had the inverse problem with Nylander in the pipeline and others. I'll admit maybe I'm a little biased towards Johnson because he played here and I got to see him and I see a really good player. If we woulda taken Brink I woulda been stoked too. Just don't get the complaining on guys who both won't see the NHL for 2 more years at best. |

There was speculation the Canes might flip Trochek and some picks for Brodin and Eric Staal - BINGO!

Ottawa trades the Islanders pick and some change for Ryan O'Reilley. San Jose's pick for the UFA rights to Lehner.
This is also a joke.
My joke stamp makes it official. |

Trochek is not McDavid, calm down. Value is different per team. Gaustad wasn't worth a 1st but we got one. - SABRES 89
Trochek could’ve been useful to the Sabres. Oh well, find someone else. Or don’t. |

Far from, Libertarian through and through. You do you. Don't care what you think of me. And like I said before, I've watched Johnson a lot and imo (unqualified) he'll be a good one. If we had taken Brink I would have been excited for him as well (especially watching him play in Sioux City). Bottom line, I want the Sabres to be good. I don't care who's in charge, I care about the product on the ice. |

Trocek is overrated anyway.
Hate to say this but Botts should either be a seller or do nothing. The time to add UFA forwards was July, the time to make hockey trades was from the draft to August, and he pooped the bed. There isn't anything to be done about it now.
Gotta believe I can get the following:
Girgensons: 3rd/4th rounder. Maybe a conditional 3-4
Larsson: 4th rounder
Vesey: 4th-5th
Sheary: 3rd, maybe 4th
Frolik: 5th-6th
Obviously you can't dump five forwards on one day for picks, because we will have to field a team the next game. But two or three could give us some extra picks to make a trade or two next year.

Ryan Wilson
@GunnerStaal
Florida arguably got more for Vincent Trochek than the Sabres got for Ryan O'Reilly and the trade for Florida makes minimal sense.
Yep. |

Buffalo was never making that trade for Pageau. Doesn't make any sense.
I also don't see Buffalo having the depth pieces to not only match, but also exceed the trade for Trochek. It was a lot, but if the Sabres did pull it off, great. I'm not losing sleep that they didn't. Carolina can very well get to the Stanley Cup Finals if things fall their way. Buffalo doesn't have a shot at it this year. |

I wouldn't doubt it.
It's been great watching them lose their poop the last 4 years with undoubtedly another 4 coming right up.
I love the names that they continue to call us.
They're too stupid to even realize that all they are doing is emboldening, galvanizing and growing President Trump's base.
But we are the "uneducated"?
He, and his ilk are the gift that keeps on giving.
Same person that probably is a socialist Bernie guy because he likes the word free.
But isn't swift enough to realize that nothing in this life is free.
I'll leave it there. |
