So we are both good, and not good?

I'm guessing the next 5 games will dictate if the team truly has a shot going forward.

We need at least three wins on the road trip, and likely an OT loss in the other game.

Daunting task. I guess we get to see what this team is truly made of.

Is there a time table for Ullmark's return?

I feel like what is going on here? when it comes to Botts.

Does he have a plan for the offseason, does he have a short term and long term plan?

It's just seems like he has the opportunities to improve the team and he side steps them or just isn't willing to give up what it may take to get the players we need to be a successful team in the long run.

This offseason should be a telling sign.

I would play Frolik on the PK only. He has been completely invisible on offense. Then make the 3rd line similar to the 4th, hammer away and wear you down:

Olo/Eichel/Sam
Skinner/Johansson/Vesey
Kahun/Lazar/Simmons

I'm glad they admitted they went for Trochek, though it didn't amount to anything. It could be a face-saving play, but regardless he isn't asleep at the wheel.

I think he did the right thing by shedding salary, and adding a cost controlled asset.

We will see what Simmonds brings to the room. He's a different voice that could be good, and may bring some energy on the ice without it coming from 22, 28, 21, and 27.

I quite literally have no idea what Botterill is doing.

the moves yesterday made very little sense.

Other than clearing some salary and getting some grit.

It doesn't really help our team at all.

We really needed a 2C and it seemed like they were ripe for the picking yesterday. Botts should have been aggressive in procuring the coveted player we so surely needed.

Depending on what the offer was for Trochek, you can't say he wasn't.

He shed a whiner who wanted out anyway and a chronic underachiever and got us 2 new faces with better stats at a drastically reduced price.
Everyone has got to remember Buffalo is a tough sell. If there is a NTC or NMC it’s gonna be a no.
These were smart moves that may have a positive impact right out of the gate. I hated Sheary. He was so worthless. ERod was a baby. We gave him way more than he was worth and he cried about playing time and demanded a trade. Good riddens. Maybe they were both cancer in the room too.

The Simmonds trade was a bit of a head-scratcher cap and roster wise.

They essentially traded Sheary and Rodrigues for a future that's further along in his development.

Aggressive how? By giving up our first and second round picks this year like the islanders did for a guy who's career high is 43 points?

Eff that.

He can do better, especially giving up that much.

They lack grit.

They lack leadership.

They lack size.

Definitely not a head scratcher to me.

That's all well and good. What's not all well and good is that the guy can't skate anymore.

I’m with you. No one decent that got moved was worth what was paid. There is plenty of opportunities to make deals in the off season with the other teams restructuring
