I guess they didn’t move out enough salary then
Would’ve been nice to dump Frolik,
but i get that we probably had no takers for him

Vesey is the guy that probably had the most value that wasn't moved. They have to anticipate re-signing the guy.

They were never going to clear enough this late in the season.

Seems like they had some options to move more salary but they wanted to reward the guys for not giving up which I get

Because Pageau is being very overrate by some here.

He has been on a statistical decline for the past 4 years outside of this year.

43
33
29
12 (on pace for 27)

That's not a guy i want to give up major picks for.

- ImThatGuy

Also its a big if whatever center is available in the offseason.

Both trades were good trades.

I am giving Botts the off season until I turn on him

I'm sure they had options, but if the bonuses were a major concern, then you don't take Frolik at his full cap hit or you do something about Bogo earlier. It's tougher to deal with later in the year.

I don't usually agree with you on most

But this I do agree with

He did pretty well today

He does need to make a big deal in the off-season though and he needs to hit on it

If it's true the other trade they were working on was for Anderson, not a center, I have a bad feeling that we're going to be counting on Mitts and Cozens again to play center

I would have liked 1 more move but overall I'm pleasantly surprised by today's moves.

I love dumping off two bottom-six midgets for a middle-six guy with scoring upside and I love bringing in Wayne Simminds - we payed next to nothing for him and if he likes it here, maybe he signs a 3x3 deal or something team-friendly and I wouldn't hate that, either.

would love Cozens to be 2nd C next year, but that doesn’t mean we can just assume thy will work and not have a backup plan.

i think this year showed that.

I would love Cozens to be that 2C we need him to be as well, but they do need to have a solid backup plan
