That’s not at all what i said

I’ll bet u were one of the guys p!ssed we didn’t get Kessel or PK Subban this summer

How’d that work out for ARZ & NJ??

- jdfitz77

Actually I was one of those who felt the Sabres were better off not doing anything until after the season...

His time as a centre on PIT went terribly, can't imagine they want to repeat that here.

IF he’d have signed here
That’s a big IF sir
NyI are a perennial playoff team
We’re still trying to become a playoff contender
That’s a big difference

- jdfitz77

you're not getting it either, YOU MAKE THAT DEAL FOR NEXT YEAR NOT THIS YEAR. You have to pay Reinhart, Montour and Dahlin 5 a year for him is a steal.

Ive fought the JGP battle.

Never liked his regression of stats year over year.

He produces in a contract year.

Giving up a 1,2,3 is insane for him. That's basically an entire draft.

If the Sabres are giving up a 1,2,3 i want them to get a hell of a lot more that Pageau in a trade back.

- ImThatGuy

He averages 35 points per 82 games played

His shooting percentage is through the roof this year 7 full percentage points above his career average.

With what the Islanders paid and where the Sabres should be drafting there is no way in HELL I make that trade

They essentially did. They definitely didn't get worse, and cleared up some cap space.

Sprong to the caps cause we dont need a RW who can score
- hubie

I though he was older, he has been trade fodder for the better part of what 5 years now.

Every year it seemed like the Pens were/werent going to give up on him until they did.

Can you tell me the last time the Sabres hit on their 1 2 and 3 picks in a single draft?
3rd onyl happens if they win the cup
so its really a 1 and a 2

Are u talking about the same Sprong who has 1 goal in the NHL this season and has been in the AHL 80% of this season bc he’s not even good enough to be on the sh!tty Ducks roster?

Quick... it’s not too late to delete your post, lol

If you're making a deal for next year, you don't make that during the deadline. You make it in the offseason.

Potential is there, he has solid ahl stats
if thats the rationale then mitts sucks

id rather have a kid with potential then a guy way past his prime

When the price to do business is much cheaper than it was today

Or you use 2021 draft picks instead

What does that matter.

Just because past history shows they can draft doesn't mean you just say, we don't need them and then drastically overpay for a 2/3 tweening center.

No, you’re not understanding what I’m saying
Which is...
just bc he signed with NyI (a playoff team),
doesn’t mean he would have with us!!!

U don’t risk a 1st & 2nd round pick on that when you’re in our situation
It’s a bad gamble

Agreed. Granted, he's still pretty young in the league. Maybe if he has decent players around him, it would go better? I'd try him with Skins and MoJo and see what happens.

You're right why would we want out biggest need. Why would we ever want that... we will just stick with a Larry there.

No, Mitts has a much higher ceiling

Sprong is a borderline NHL player,
who is a bottom6 guy at best
Just bc he’s 22, doesn’t mean he can still be a 20+ goal scorer
Sprong has nowhere close to Mitts’ talent
That’s a terrible comparison

Sprong blows

Because Pageau is being very overrate by some here.

He has been on a statistical decline for the past 4 years outside of this year.

43
33
29
12 (on pace for 27)

That's not a guy i want to give up major picks for.

Sticking with Larry there for the rest of the 2019-2020 season is...whatever at this point. It's a pill we've all essentially swallowed already.

Going into 2020-2021 with Larry there is a different issue. Creative and savvy trades have acquired much better players than Pageau in the offseason.

He is and we all know they aren't. It's not a this year trade
- SABRES 89

Since entering the league, Kahun has more points than pageau. Pageau isnt work 3 picks, and isnt worth 5 mil.

poopty trade by the velociraptor
