So it is a 3rd that becomes a 2nd if we win the cup... Why bother with the conditional? I'd be shocked if Marleau was that sought after. |

Haven't seen Marleau play at all this year. Does he have anything left in the tank? I guess unlike Cullen he's not really blocking a younger better player from playing up. - Thorny87
He's still fast and has 10 goals. About even as a possession player, maybe slightly negative, but that's fine if he scores and isn't a liability. |

That’s also on a crap team. I’m blown away an nhl roster has only 2 forwards over 2 mil haha |

Sharks havent been very good this year though, so some stats could be a bit skewed.
Wasnt he drafted in Pittsburgh? of did I just totally make that up hahah |

The good thing is that it would have to be a 2021 2nd since we dont have a 2nd this year. I'd almost rather trade the 2021 second and keep the 2020 3rd just so we dont completely punt on the 2020 draft. |

Sounds like Pageau is getting extended in NYI which makes the price better. Also Kreider and NYR close. |

Sure but I think Marleau’s skill set fits current team needs more and I think the “win one for Marleau” factor is a valid tie breaker to pay a bit more for him than Sheary. - Victoro311

Was it ever confirmed as a 2020 3rd because I haven't seen that yet? |

I look at Marleau as a much better option than the WBS call-ups, so its good from that standpoint.
As mentioned I still would want a true top 6 wing but, if not, I think we still need a ZAR replacement/upgrade. He is week to week and honestly should be a 13th forward in an ideal world.

Marleau is durable which is nice. 800 + games without missing one. And he’s been playing on the 3rd line with noeson and kellman. So I could see his numbers being skewed a bit |

Can't say I watched the Sharks a ton, but he's only averaging 15.5 minutes and 19 of his 20 points were at ES. I think he can play enough for the role they'll have him in, and guys like McCann, Hornqvist, and Bjugstad aren't bad linemates. |

I cant remember for sure which Cap player was saying it in an interview, Im thinking it was Carlsson, about how they finally beat the Pens to go on to the cup....he said the one thing Trotz said that resonated with them that series was he said you guys lose to the Pens because you lose battles on the ice against a guy like Conor Sheary. |

Is there any interest in Jimmy Vesey? Any word on what he'd cost? |

Marshall also just tweeted out that Marleau is in the 85th percentile this season in generating scoring chances and quality shots relative to his teammates, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see his tangible production go up on a better team. |
