How are we getting the 7th and 16th picks
- picklerick

Our own pick and whatever we get from Carolina (I figure one of TOR or CAR miss the playoffs and the other gets knocked out in the first round).

I think it’s a start for them. Really would depend where the picks are. But I’d be prepared to add another significant piece to get Byfield.

Someone might bite tho because this draft is on the deep side it sounds like

If Byfield is the prize, Id be prepared to give up what needs to be done. Both 1st rd picks and Chytil, maybe the rights to Ryan Strome.

Yea I think it’s Staal with Trouba too. I think it would work better then Sjkei did. Can’t be any worse

I wouldn’t mind seeing rykov ahead of Hajek. I don’t recall seeing Rykov play yet

Also, I think it would be foolish to split up Fox and Lindgren. Let them develop together. Changing them up doesn’t seem to be logical either, they have been great

I wonder when Nils Lundkvist will be ready. He’s right handed and having a real good year

I wondered the same thing. Next year probably, however... Trouba, Fox and DeAngelo are all right handed... Im also wondering when K’Andre is ready to play the left side with anyone.

Id be willing to also. Both 1sts, Nils Lundqvist, Buch and Howden.

Kreider is gonna end up being the only survivor of that epic letter Staal Hank are the tweeners I guess

Gorton has really done a masterful job rebuilding this thing. I’m not sure he’s gotten enough credit for it

I was looking at the trade details at CapFriendly and other locations for our deal with Carolina. The way its worded is that the Rangers will get the lower pick of the 2020 draft. If Torontos' pick is in the top 10 --- then the pick goes to 2021.

To me, that means we would get the Carolina pick no matter where it is because its the ONLY one they have for the 2020 draft! So ----- pray that the Leafs pick is in the top 10 and Carolina misses the playoffs and gets a high lottery pick. EPIC WIN!

EXACTLY right

if Toronto and Carolina miss playoffs we are golden

even if Toronto doesn't get into top 10, it's gonna be a great pick, getting the pick back we gave up for Trouba
