Sarcasm? I believe Skjei is the better player by quite a bit. It was said that CAR was balking at Stan's high asking price (maybe by you earlier?). The cap issues could be complicating things quite a bit as well.

Just not gonna give up a 1st for a rental goalie.

Good enough. Don't fix a weakness (even if temporary) then don't win. I don't think Carolina is good enough to make it out the East, not improving in net just makes that all the more likely.

In the end, we don't know what (if anything) Carolina has actually offered. So it's a moot point for both anyway.
