There’s still time left for a Gus trade, same goes for Lehner.
Stan hasn’t been schooled or played or anything yet.
He’s gambling that if he waits, maybe he can get a little more.
Gus is a guy who’s value has always been tough to gauge. If no team comes in with a decent offer say, a 2nd rd pick or maybe a 3rd and a 4th, then Stan can let him hit the market, or possibly re-sign him to a short term deal if the price is right.
Lehner is going to ask for too much in term and dollars. There’s a couple teams who could benefit greatly from his addition. I gotta believe it gets done, teams are really reluctant to part with 1st Rd picks these days so Stan will need to get creative if those offers aren’t there.
Besides those obvious trade chips, I think Stan would much rather make hockey deals for Saad or others.

I didnt see the fit of Gus in Vegas (watch him go there now)

Vegas needs a serviceable G to back up and/or takeover for Fluery. Hes had a tough year and the backups have sucked (I actually think Crow would be a very good fit here with Fleury)

TC's Take: Sounds like CAR is out. With this news, one would think Stan would go down his list and pull the trigger on a Gustafsson deal... that may or may not include Lehner. However, I would say moving Lehner now is highly unlikely IMO (watch him be dealt now).

Nedeljkovic won goalie of the year in the AHL last season, so there's hope, but slim.
