I'm still fishing in Minnesota - how about Rask who never seemed to fit in or even Donato

Simmonds is UFA after this season
- THE EVIL WITHIN

His next contract is going to ugly. Guy really never got his big payday despite a few great seasons.

Oh No it’s Flamingo Greg.... Is that what’s really going on in Philadelphia sports? Or did you just wake up on the wrong side of your bed’s footboard leg again??

Looking at the standings, flyers can not afford a slump. Rags heating up, if the Isles start scoring again! And the Canes look like a Metro leader, if they had high end goal tending.
- THE EVIL WITHIN

Ohh Man! It’s incredible that even with all your wisdom and knowledge you can still focus in on all these small details that nobody else sees...
So slumps are not good... if Isles start scoring it’s not good... and the Canes are good but their goalie is not good.... Did I do that right?? Idiot Within???

How does Kovy going to the Caps warrant a "nice work Fletch"

Well Kevin Heyes need to do 75 points at least for 4 season
If he does your statement is not valid
Imagine Farabee and Frost being part of team
Two 2 Top 6 guys for Brayden Schenn

Both Niskanen and Braun, apart from helping the team short-term, have brought things that can help their much younger teammates be better pros in winning environments. That is an intangible on top of their natural career evolution.

Fletcher/Flahr drafted York and Brink, both of whom look like good prospects for the long haul.

Do you think the flyers bring Braun back for another year?

Nothing against Braun, but I would like to think that moving ghost would come with a greater benefit than freeing up some cash just to re-sign Braun for another year or two. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah i hear you there. If Oskar looks like he can return next year they can move out ghost and jvr. Jvr they’d need to retain some salary. They can give themselves room without losing a whole lot on the ice

Again, I would pump the brakes on Oskar returning next season. He has a long road still ahead of him that will not be based on the hockey calendar.

You might want to check the Eastern Conference standings. Now go back to your troll hole.

Would make sense as an affordable rental.
- bmeltzer

If they can swing something like that, good on them. Otherwise, I stand pat and see how we can make out. If we are intent on dealing ghost, that would be an off-season move ie at draft day. Beat case scenario, he comes back and plays well for us down the stretch. Then you either keep him or ship him out without selling low.

If only the TDL hadn't passed right?

Ignoring the facts he made the team better with Hayes and AV while not dealing top prospects.

So let's recap:

Boston- Kase, + cleared cap space for today moving 75% of a corpse contract
TB- Coleman + Bogo
Wash - Dillon + Kovalchuk
Pittsburgh - Zucker

Fletcher is on the clock.

Personally I hope I don't hear jack from the Flyers today. Definitely "Just Say No" to rentals.

None of those moves scare me or make me think the Flyers can't hang with either team in a 7 game series (should they make the playoffs).
