Hearing #isles are working on a deal that would reunite Zach Parise and GM Lou Lamoriello. Not done yet.

Ew, God no! NAK is a much better player than Thompson. I think Bunny goes back to LHV, Grant is the 4C and Thompson is the 13th forward.

Don’t read too much into Grant’s numbers. He’s shooting a career high and unsustainable 17% and he was getting over 14 minutes per game for Anaheim. He’s a decent 4C, solid on the PK, but on a good team in a 4th line role he’s a 10 goal, 20 point player at best. The only reason he was playing as a 3C in Anaheim is because the Ducks blow.

- BiggE

Agreed, but he's an upgrade at 4C, which is what we needed. All it does it cost us a 4th and an AHL vet while the Thompson pickup lets Bunny play more minutes in the AHL.

A 4th, a 5th, and AHL vet for an upgrade at 4C and extra depth is pretty much what most of us reasonably expected.

Its like everyone here forgets we made 4 trades in the off season that netted us our current 2D, 2C, 3rd line winger, and 5th defenseman

We made moves for important pieces that didnt cost much. They just happened 7 months ago

Ritchie is worse than Heinen...so not sure what you're tryna say here. Consensus is Bruins lost that trade

They must be scratching Bunnaman twice.

Really like the Grant move. Doesn't give up a significant part of the future and adds a solid role player with no future cap commitment.

If one of Frabee or NAK are scratched in favor of Thompson how will you spin/rationalize it?

I think he'll be waived, not scratched.

Will be interested to see the lines.

I like Ritchie. Big, can skate pretty good hands and is a pretty good fighter. Hasn’t clicked in for him yet, but when you watch him play you get the sense there’s more there....Boston will not be a fun team to play.

Yeah, it’s a slight improvement and with very little cap room to work with, it’s all they could really do.

I just dont understand what a certain segment of the fanbase expected to happen today.
- MBFlyerfan

Some people aren't happy no matter what. Forget that the team is exceeding all of our expectations and more, and that they're playing terrific at the moment.

They'll find something to complain about.

If they had done nothing they would be mad they did nothing, if they got anybody they would've complained about overpaying or how much money the guy make or how he's just 4th line fodder.

AV was pretty definitive that Thompson steps in 4C. Said Grant most likely starts on a wing but can play any forward position.
