Flip makes no sense. Only one piece in the deal which is a 5th. Dont see why Buffalo would take a guy and expect to get more for him when NJ could have just gotten more.

But what could they possibly want with him? He's on an expiring contract. You are not making the playoffs. Why would you give any kind of asset for this player? That makes no sense, right?

I’m a fan of this move...first Simmonds not with say Pens. For Sabres, he is a good fit there, and they can negotiate to re-sign.
