Not a surprising move. When you spend all your cap space in the summer this is about all you can expect at the deadline. |

I'm fine with Thompson. It's not sexy, and I'm not trying to pretend it is.
But that's about what they needed to make their lineup make more sense for the stretch run.
I like their roster and I like their organizational depth. They didn't NEED anything. There's some stuff that in a perfect world I might've liked to have seen them do, but my personal opinion is that when the Flyers are playing well, there's only a couple of teams who can match their whole game.
They're not perfect. But they are good, and hopefully nothing goes haywire down the stretch and they make it

Agreed. Good depth player. I hope Bunnaman plays ahead of him still. Bunnaman is a +7. Which just shows how effective that 4th line has been. I am ok with this move overall.

I'm absolutely not gonna argue about it, but I agreed with how Fletcher handled this summer and I think that he built a roster that shows he knew what he was doing
Could they have more cap space? We can argue that all day long
But he took a middling roster with far too many questions marks and made it more consistent and better. That's all I ever asked Hextall to do

Agreed. It’s always more exciting to make the big splash but as long as they’re winning I can’t really complain. |

Kovalchuk or Thompson? |

That's interesting. San Jose has just been a tire fire basically all season, but I think Marleau might have a few more goals left in his stick, especially in limited minutes

Maybe a 13F replacement? - NC Flyers Fan
That's my hope. Better him than Andreoff, and better him than a kid who could actually play in the AHL. |
