Could Arttu Ruotsalainen be that player? He has a lot of skill and could compliment that line. - kingcong39
How is he defensively and carrying the puck. Is he “tenacious” |

There is no way the Sabres can tie up $11 million+ on their 4th line next year - (Okposo @ $6 with the twins at $2.5 each on average). And if that becomes our 3rd line, we are still missing the playoffs. Okposo + Lazar + Asplund will probably cost you $8 million. I would rather have that extra $3 million to to help in other more needy places than the 4th line.
Great to see Larry and Girgs on a nice run right now and having a good season. Hopefully Botts can turn them into some better than expected picks tomorrow. - SabreWest
They've been the 3rd line the past two seasons, and they've been good.
If you think they're not good enough for that designation, then your decision is easy, unless you believe Larsson is good enough to be a 3rd line center with more offensive zone starts. |

If he trades either or both I think they both get 2nds, granted they would probably be late 2nds. He can’t trade away all his UFAs as he won’t decimate the Rochester roster - turbo044
That's where you weaponize your cap space to take back a player that is a pending UFA that the other team no longer wants. That will enhance the return. |

Would love AA, don't think we have what it takes to get him though. - toddkac
Athanasiou is exactly what the sabres need. Speed and positional versatility in the middle 6
Forget the +/- because last I checked the top-5 green jacket leaders are all red wings. That team is ass |

Do you think a former 30 goal scorer is in the same park as utility bottom-6 player? |

Quickest team ever eliminated from the playoffs. They are destroying the Sabres suck records |

I still want to see a big shakeup. Trade Girgs, Johan, Frolik, Mcabe, Vesey fur picks.
Then make a mega trade.
Reinhart, Mitts and Risto and a D prospect
For Boeser and Hughes.
Team gets cheaper. Use those extra picks to get a guy to center our second line for a couple years when Cozens develops. I would like our core. Way faster. |

But are they doing it with honor and integrity? Cuz that’s important. |

In hockey town everything is done with integrity. Unless it’s beating the leaves. Then that’s just disrespect |

A few observations from today......
1. I said that starting Johanson was a mistake. Kid was money today.
2. Can we still drop Frolik for Pommer? Guy is a waste of space. Not only is he not good, he looks like an old man out there.
3. Kulikov is a (very) poor man's Risto. Or maybe a Russian Bogo
4. Think how much better we'd be if 24 were in for 19. I can't believe he was pulling shifts at the end of the game. He is lost out there.

Sometimes. Not always easy to see through career years. In that sense, there's not a huge difference between AA and Sheary.

It’s amazing what a strong defensive hockey club looks like when their goaltending doesn’t let them down. - Pegullaville
Indeed
It’s cool that we are creeping up on Toronto
Still unlikely that we overtake them,
but it would be nice to finish the season playing well |
