Their an excellent 3rd line in the NHL, let alone 4th
- sbroads24

It’s funny what happens when ppl get slotted into the right roles for their skill set

If they’re out 4th line next year,
they’re probably the best 4th line in the league
One of the best for sure

Sometimes this game is inexplicable

The Sabres have absolutely been the better team in the 5/6 games they’ve played against Pittsburgh and Boston this year.

Have been the better team 2/3 times against Toronto

Have beat Dallas handily twice.

Beat the Blues by 3.

Yet, can’t beat Anaheim, can’t beat Ottawa. Lost at home to Detroit, and at home against Minny when they were in last.

A few of those disasters go our way and we’re in the playoffs

It’s amazing what a strong defensive hockey club looks like when their goaltending doesn’t let them down.

One guy is done playing and one guy will never be here. What was the point?

I would love to have them both back.

We have enough holes in the top 6 we don't need more holes in the bottom 6 too.

- toddkac

For sure
And while your totally right about Okposo’s contract, we’re pretty much stuck with him
So it’s nice that he’s embraced a new role for him & is playing well

I got a lot of crap on here bc i always saw Girgs as a 3rd line checking center at best,
and not our “future captain”
So while you’d like to see our 1st round picks be top6 forwards,
I’m again glad that he’s finally accepted his role & plays it well

If the Sabres do trade Larsson &/or Girgs,
i hope we try like heck to bring them back

I dont think its an exaggeration at all to say that if they didn't try so hard to make bogosian happy and got more consistent back up goaltending they'd be within actual striking distance.

Absolutely. I mean they’re close now. 6 points and a game in hand is striking distance technically. They be within 2-3

They are boring as hell. But they aren't bad.

I would still sell though, too many teams in front of them to chase

If they don't trade the bottom players because of the 2 wins they're fools

That, plus their upcoming schedule and the current price for rentals. I'd be selling tomorrow too.

I’d sell Vesey, Sheary, Girgensons, and any RD and try to resign 22.

My prediction for tomorrow is Zemgus Girgensons gets a WAY better return than anyone expects

I think sheary and frolik will go.

I think they'll keep 22/28 and try to get a deal done with 22. I agree they really should look to move an RD.

My best guess is still Athanasiou but who knows

Adam Henrique might be a good add...botts owes this team a good move.

Carter Hutton costed this city a playoff birth this year, or at the very least a heck of a month of March.

What would you offer 22 to keep him hitting the market? When you start talking 3+ years and 3m+, I get really nervous.

Funny but these last 2 victories put pressure on jbotts. I would resign vesey (if he would stay here), larsson and girgs. The LOG line is very good #3 or #4 line if we can get a 2c.

I have no use for sheary or McCabe , if you could trade sheary For a 3 and maybe flip that pick, McCabe and a good prospect for trochek we have a solid team now and moving forward. Add mitts and cozens on the 3rd line next year and I like the team.

Goaltending is The big issue - I’m convinced we lose today with Hutton in net

I think you can get a multi year deal under 3 mil.
