Yup. My feeling is they don't trade Barrie for another D, but they can use the assets toward anoither trade. A guy who's a better fit and perhaps has term.

Asset management. We have lost lots of assets for nothing as of late. (JVR, BOzak, etc). You need to keep the cupboards stocked with prospects and picks in a cap world... Something we seem to be forgetting as an organization...

We have the big guns, but we need a stocked system to avoid crappy 3-4 th lines (see current team...!)

Assuming Bogosian clears unconditional waivers today, I expect he will wait until Monday to decide where he wants to play for the remainder of the season. Toronto, Pittsburgh, Carolina and Winnipeg are among the strong contenders.

I would sign him as our 7 for league minimum.

With that drop pass zone entry, it was suited to a skater like Rielly (and Gardiner) and now Barrie, but as far as actually QBing the PP, Rielly was pretty good at walking the line and looking for seams or getting that quick wrister through, but I wouldn't really say we've had a PP QB on defense since we started stacking the first PP unit and playing them like 1.5 minutes.
