It was a reach for sure. Performing well, ehh they're not lights out. They're a fourth line after all, not being asked to do a whole lot and expectations are low. Nonetheless, there have been some bright spots. I figured some ice time, and PP time would be better than NO time at all. Otherwise, the team should explore the possibility of moving him. Either deadline, or more likely, in the off season. - Bryz's Buyout Fund
Lights out is relative. How do you not recognize that they have pretty good 4th line? If Gostisbehere can rehab his knee and get back in game shape, very good chance he finds himself back in the starting 6.

It has happened to players in the past out of necessity. However if they were just going to try it guessing it would’ve happened the couple games they dressed seven d men. I also prefer my 4 th line to be physical Keeps em honest. |

lol Ghost could use some physicality to his game..I do recognize that the line has played well, but it's still a fourth line and how many different line ups have there been? Twarynski had 15 games, stewart 16 games, Kase 6 games, bunnaman now at 20, NAK at 28.
I think the squad is getting enough points and production from the D pairings as is, and I prefer Hagg's meat and potatoes stay at home style of defense over Ghost right now. |

Gostisbehere is a finesse puck moving defenseman. He doesn't need to be physical. That's not his makeup. He needs to get and remain confident and use his pucks skill, ability to anticipate plays and break them up with an active stick, and to move the puck well in transition. When he does that, he is more valuable than Haag. The Flyers have plenty of physicality in the remaining defense corps.
How many games has the current 4th line remained intact? Why did some of those players you mentioned spot in? |

Get all that, but he hasn't looked like the player you described. I'm not one to live on a hope and a dream lol
Not sure how many they played together. They're out there to eat some minutes, be physical, and keep the puck out of our zone. Any point production is a nice bonus, sure. |

Here is what Vigneault said at the time of Gostisbehere's injury.
https://www.nbcsports.com...njury-could-impact-flyers
"He was way more confident with the puck, he was doing what you want a defenseman of his type to do, which is beat the forecheck, jump up in the play when the opportunity is there," Vigneault said before Wednesday night's game at the Wells Fargo Center. "He was playing good hockey for us. I don't know exactly how long this is going to be but he's not playing tonight."

The 4th line is playing well. Bottom line.

Strange that didn't come to mind when I was writing it. I swear I'm a Flyers fan. Simmer was/is way more popular than Ghost could ever hope to be. I can't get the images of Ghost and his damn dogs out of my mind. I realize he has that top PP QB potential but I wouldn't miss him. If Ghost can get us a decent return, we do it. - cdearth23
I don’t think Ghost gets traded this deadline but if we did, I’m just hoping for younger and high upside. If Ghost gets moved, chances are, it will be during the offseason and I’m willing to bet this is a high probability. |

What’s the goal breakdown? Curious? I’d really prefer a goal scorer.

Not breaking chops - Flyers1218
Staal 17 goals
Carter 17 goals
Pageau - 24 goals.
I don’t know why I thought Pageau would be the cheapest to trade for. |

Just a hot streak. They still have a ton of holes. And they are going to trade Kreider. |
