Stan is going to re-sign all the UFAs - he's afraid Wolfie will say he didn't get enough in trade.

Carlsson did okay for his 1st game. I rather see him the rest of the season than Seeler/Special K

He was very solid. I'm with you. Play him a handful of games and see what you have in him.

Looks like Bowman is gonna re-sign LArd Ass. I will stop watching the Hawks if that happens.

Agree, it was a nice first run for him.

You really are an agreeable chap. ...

I just believe the Hawks are a lot closer than what many believe. I do like the future with Dach-Kubalik-Debrincat- and possibly Strome.

I like their young D prospects.

Now I don't know if it's a few years away but they do have some pieces they can build with.

I think Colliton needs to go...he is in way over his head. I also think it's time for Bowman to exit. Bad contracts, bad trades, overreaction transactions, etc.

I agree with you. Although not with Bowman or Colliton.

I admit its tough to put your trust in those 2 right now but it’s not impossible to think they eventually get the job done.

For all his (frank) ups from 2015-now, at least Bowman has won before and he made some smart moves that helped the 2nd and 3rd Cup runs. Maybe he goes back to the decision making we saw in our glory days. Or better yet maybe we fire him and bring in a fresh face with a fresh perspective and shake things up.

Either way, there’s still hope. It’s worth believing in until 88’s time is over. That’s the time frame we have IMO.

Hey Jack I think a big reason why you get so frustrated with the Hawks is your expectations are beyond unreasonable. An aging core whose best days are behind them, no first pairing defensemen, very little depth, no real blue chip prospects and they’re hard against the cap. How do you think it’s possible for them to compete with younger, better and deeper teams?
- paulr

Yup, closer to LA than the Bruins.

5x5 stats (Natural Statrick):

SAT - 37-49
SOG - 20-32
SC - 12-30
HDSC - 1-13

Heat chart shows a large portion of their shots - way too large - from outside the circles.

1-13 ain't swell.

Play him every game, IMO. Seeler is a scrub. Special K is an adventure every time he is out there. He is all over the ice. Some times he ends up in a good position. Most times he ends up out of the play.

I think Bowman has dug too much of a hole and a fresh set of eyes is needed. He is just spinning his tires right now. Hopefully, he can collect a few assets based on the team's needs. As it was time for Q to go the sell-by date for Bowman has passed.

Looks like they're tearing up the scoresheet too down 4 - 0. 4 more lines of bottom 6 forwards huh ?
This organization is loaded with them. Gotta score goals 5 on 5 and produce a 20 % PP at minimum.

Again.....2 top 6 forwards are needed for next year or playoffs won't happen AGAIN.

None of those guys are top 3 and most barely top 6.

I’m talking about at least one more run before Kane is done. In the next few years. It’s definitely possible and worth hoping for so why not be positive with this selling and rebuilding and look forward to the future? Collect the young talent and give 88 one final run of glory!!

Why is there so much personal BS going on?

And why does it more often than not involve the same group, the so called regulars and long time posters?

Incredibly lame and pathetic you guys. And extremely annoying for other posters out there who just wanna talk about hockey. Makes this place worse for all of us.

You got me. Mohel and HawkND decided to attack. Whatever. It appears any potential (even benign) questions of Bowman (I think my most recent post about Bowman and the TDL is more than fair) has really unhinged them.

Like you stated in the past, they were a bubble team, and now they’re are out, might as well get another top five pick, plus adds from today/tomorrow.

You know what's beyond ironic? We're talking Bealtes and Stones and then you indirectly call me out in another post because you're always beholden to your BS Kool aid narrative.

So who attacked who originally? Wasn't me.
