The Hawks are in a great position to take advantage of the upcoming TDL, and sell as much as possible to go all in on the rebuild while clearing as much cap space as we can. This will also help the “tank”, which will in turn help our draft position(or at the very least it won’t do us any harm).

Combine the incoming future assets assuming we sell and make smart decisions with the cap, the current collection of young talent, and the last stand for Kane/Toews/Keith...and I truly believe there’s hope for another Cup run in the next few years. A lot has to happen but the future start now(or rather over these next several months leading into next season) and why not be excited?

Hey Jack I think a big reason why you get so frustrated with the Hawks is your expectations are beyond unreasonable. An aging core whose best days are behind them, no first pairing defensemen, very little depth, no real blue chip prospects and they’re hard against the cap. How do you think it’s possible for them to compete with younger, better and deeper teams?
