He did that Friday too. There was an article in the Trib about it today. Got him the first goal Friday.

It did and it can work (see Andrew Shaw) but I don't see DeBrincat being as big of a pain to play against at the front of the nest as Shaw.

If they are looking for a guy to shoot pucks in off of they should put Strome there. Bigger target.

Stars are always between Hawks and the goalie in their zone - Hawks continuously leave opponents alone in front of Crawford / Lehner.
- StLBravesFan

yes they do...and the stars don't score alot but there defense is very good as well as their goaltending...

lehner/crow the best player for the hawks again and again...

i can see it as a short term thing or give him different opps or looks...

but do they really want a sniper like that to get pushed around and beaten up around the net given his size...c'mon

adb with net presence on the screen...WTF

Yeah, you need a big body there, not sure I agree with that strategy either.

No 2nd line SATs in the 1st.

In his last 20 games, Carpenter - playing mostly with Kane, I think - has 4 points - 1 goal.

Other than Toews line, it seems that Colliton’s other triplets aren’t being very productive - witness that in only 3 of the last 9 games (2+5+2=6 points out of 18) have they scored more than 2.

I agree, a 5’7” guy is not your traditional pick to place there. Guess they are just trying to get his goal scoring going.

Another goal taken away on a weak call.

They stripes aren’t anti-Hawk - they’re incompetent.

Whom is your choice to score the most goals this season: Ovechkin or Pasternick?

Traditionally yes. Shaw was an exception I think but better suited to handling the punishment than Dinky. Don't think it's a great strategy either.

Total HS call on Toews though.

This team is so maddening. How come they couldn't play this good to start the game?
