Is shaws career over playing hockey ? - Taylorst1
It should be. His last couple of concussions has taken him a long time to recover. He has nothing left to prove. He beats the poop out of the odds to have his career.

Sherwood, sakic curve in later years, first helmet was the makita.
I use my Bauer composite(free from vendor) to knock down wasp nests in SC - dpard
Ha! My first helmet was a three piece cooper of the type Butch Goring wore. There was no protection at all. With an external mouth guard. A few years later I wore a Paul Henderson style CCM helmet I kept getting the same CCM helmets until I stopped playing. |

Tom Brady does not need rushing yards and he don't have to play any defense. In hockey ALL players are TWO-WAY. Or SUPPOSED to be. Players who don't give a hoot about getting back to help should go out the door. And THAT attitude is the thing that is pathetic. Especially for a player making 10 million +. - MadHatter
Kane will never win the selke.
However he’s 100 times better then he was when he came into the league. |

Ruth averaged 86 Ks per 162 games.
I would the average player today is well above that. |

Stars are always between Hawks and the goalie in their zone - Hawks continuously leave opponents alone in front of Crawford / Lehner. |

I think your correct . The last bit of info I read regarding Lehner was Chicago doesn't want to move Lehner and is still working to resign him.
I'm torn between spending that kind of money on a goalie looking at Chicago's future they are in a rebuild for the foreseeable future.
I'd like to see them move Crawford and Lehner and grab as many picks and prospects. - Taylorst1
We might make a better hypothesis regarding players staying or going after the trade deadline. I am not going to rationalize anythimg, however, based on the lineup in this matinee. The early start time does give Stan an opportunity to negotiate tonight instead of watching the game which usually is on a Sunday evening. .As far as one trade goes, the game time today may actually be relevant if the report to give Vegas more time per salary cap is indeed accurate. Vegas plays tonight.
I don't know if there is one player I am more intrigued to see what the return could be. The return from either goaltender, Saad, Smith,.Carpenter has been discussed here with a fairly wide difference in renumeration made. Whether good, bad, or a fair return each evaluation has some support to actually be accurate
. But with Gus I see the biggest unknown. I just do not think injuries or other dmen availability is a big determining factor. Gus is what he is; he could be used prudently in a different system with better defensive support....that is what another GM might focus upon
Also, If the other team wants to keep a top dman available for as much 5/5 play, then Gus can take a spot on the Pp. Where his shot on a real Pp might be a real weapon
Everyone has seen enough of Gus but getting the most or better results out of him could occur in another system |

35% of all plate appearances wind up being HRs, walks, strike outs - true outcomes - boring baseball.
16% of all hits are HRs - up from 8% in 1988.
45% of all runs come on HRs - up from 28% in 2000.
Boring baseball.
