I don't believe that Strome saw the ice in OT. Did he ???? If not, that's a question mark. Move him too SB......way too slow.

I find the Byfuglien situation amusing tho considering instead of terminating Byfuglien's contract they're trying to trade his contract....... That is a pretty low blow by the Jets on Buff..... They're essentially saying; "hey, we're not ready to terminate your contract until after the trade deadline - which of course means he wont be able to play for the rest of the season unless he's traded (or signed before Monday, if these clowns do indeed to terminate his contract)....

I must say what a classless move by Winnipeg.

No team that are in the playoffs or on the bubble can afford Byfuglien right now, they know this and Winnipeg is just be malicious at this point..... Big Buff is in "hockey purgatory" right now......

As far as the trade proposals/suggestions:

Not big on trading Lehner, Strome, Saad and to some extent Gus.....

JC is just an absolutely TERRIBLE COACH - his skill isn't coaching an NHL team - his skill is developing er getting young kids ready for the NHL..... Sorry but JC is the problem, unfortunately Stan cant see this, I'm sure Stan sees a lot of JC in himself when he was a young GM and is being a bit more liberal with him than he should..

I don't know what to say....

If Winnipeg terminates Byfuglien's contract - sign him.

If you can get Kovalchuk for a 4th round pick - do it.

If you can get Joe Thornton on a reasonable rental deal - do it.

If you can get Lehner signed long-term - sign him.

If you can trade Crow and he considers coming back to backup Lehner - trade him.

If you can get a really nice package for Gus - a First Round Pick, Prospect + then trade him...

Man, I can go on and on - but hopefully some of you get the point(s)...

There are 1.5 months left to the end of the regular season........ There is time... Hawks go one a 5 game win streak and another goes on a 5 game losing streak - the game done changed.....

It's kinda crazy because ever since I've been a Hawks fan that would read Hawks material - it's like Hawks fans have no faith, they only have expectations..... If Kane put up 20 goals in 2020-21 they would toss him in the garbage can....

I think ADB will have a bounce back season next year. Contrary to the board opinion that other teams are on to him I really think this season was an anomaly in part because of Strome’s injury and Dcat bouncing around the lineup, partly him trying to play a physical game early on and partly bad luck.. he’s working hard, he goes to the open areas and to the tough areas and he’s getting his chances,

Yea, Bowman is going to just trade young studs because they've had an "off-season" --- I've been reading this board and posting for longer than a decade and you Hawks fans have sounded the same for the last 20 years I have been discussing hockey on internet boards from HF boards to hockey buzz or all these other sites......

Perhaps we can trade Dach too, and our first round pick???? I mean we gotta improve right?

A telling factor regarding a weak fan base. The window may be closed on this current version of the Hawks and the Core but I love that the Preds window closed about a season after it opened.

Oh I agree. Look at his career shooting percentage. It’s down substantially. That’s the tell. He’s hit posts and he’s been stoned by goalies more than all the other hawks combined.

Good point! Look at the teams who fancied themselves as contenders and who haven’t won a thing and whose windows are shut, Vancouver, Winnipeg, dallas, Nashville etc. And yet all we do on this board is criticize the President, GM and core of the hawks who got it done three times. We don’t seem to understand how good we have it.
