a pending ufa goalie and a middle 6 winger for a fourth overall high potential dman and a first. you're on crack. no chance. - docavalanche
It's funny how fans undervalue players from other teams. Let me guess. Some of the few things I've heard over the last couple of years are "Keith is worth a 4th round pick." "Toews is worth a second line center".
The team that makes the biggest splash this season will win the cup.
Last year, the Blues got O'Reily. Who will it be this year? |

If 56 and both goalies are on this team Monday it’s a HUGE fail...
Even if it’s for mid round / lower prospects you do it...
Can’t imagine all three are on this team come October 2020.... |

Why is it a fail? What does it matter if they are moved Monday or in the summer? |

In some more uplifting news, the Hawks are now solidly in the 7 spot in the draft lottery.

I heard the Avs are looking for a goaltender. I'm surprised you don't have any fake trades going to them?
I would like to do a
To Col:
Saad
Lehner
To Chi:
Bryam
1st round pick.
Colorado gets a goalie and a top 6 power forward. We get a pick and a top defensive prospect. We could possibly throw Beaudin into the trade aswell, if Col wants a lower D prospect going back.
man, WTF are you smoking, whatever it is I want to try it.
Sakic would hang up the phone laughing at that trade offer. |

Yep, team is starting to doubt themselves too. I predict a top 3 pick for this club this summer.

Teams pony up big time when you are that close to winning. I don't think that is unreasonable at all. If Sakic felt the Avs were that close, I don't think that is that that crazy, truthfully. Look at the cost the Hawks had to pay for each of their big trade deadline acquisitions over the years.
People can debate how good Lehner is all day long...he has been the Hawks best player all season. I think he would be even better with Colorado's team in front of him. Also, adding Brandon Saad to that forward mix, plus having an additional season with him next year probably is why the asking price would be high. I don't think some of these proposals are that ridiculous though.
Hawks paid a fortune for three months of Antoine Vermette. It was worth it. |

Why would Jesse Puljujarvi’s 17 career NHL goals cost the Hawks Saad and his 342 Career NHL points + 200ft play? - EnzoD

if you can't figure out on your own how you're wrong, then maybe you shouldn't be making fun of pizza drivers as you're probably not even qualified to do that job.
your trade proposal was f-ing laughable, and the fact that multiple fans, who cheer for multiple different teams, think your nuts is pretty telling.
your offer would be akin to me saying Ottawa should trade Pageau and Anders Nilsson to Chicago for Kirby Dach and a 1st rd pick................in terms of value, that's pretty much on par with what you were offering/asking for.......and in terms of laughability, it's about the same too. - sensarmy_11
...think you are nuts...
We expect proper English to be used here.
‘your nuts’ has a very different meaning.
Thanks for coming! |

No reason to trade Saad but if they did Boston doesn’t have much to offer. |

Gus to anyone for a 2nd
Maatta to anyone for a 3rd + minor league player to be named
The tough part is there was a market for either of those guys that seems to have been satisfied now.
If Boston blows your skirt up for Saad or Strome I think you take that deal.
I think the goalie market has tightened up a bit but they certainly need to get something for one of those guys.
They may have biff'd it waiting.
They also need room for both Boqvist and Mitchell on the blue line. With Murphy being their best defensive player I don't think they can move him. And de Haan and Seabrook are probably not movable and probably on the roster next year so there needs to be room made somewhere and Gus and Maatta are the most expendable. Moving both also gives a chance to take a look at some of the fellers in Rockford to end the year. |

you don't think asking for last years 4th overall pick, and another 1st rd pick.....and giving up a UFA goalie and a 28 pt 3rd liner....is unreasonable.
jesus (frank) man, give your head a shake.
goalies are historically worth very little, ESPECIALLY when they aren't cost controlled to good contracts. Lehner has already publically said he won't take a team friendly contract, he wants to get paid. and Saad is a 3rd liner.
that package MAYBE gets you a late 1st rd pick, and an additional 3rd rd pick.....or something similar to that......but ZERO chance it gets you a prospect like Byram alone, let alone another 1st rd pick on top of that. |

Dude we get it. It was just an innocent thought that someone suggested on a Fake Trade blog. Stop taking this so seriously. Very lame. |

Pretty easy to see how both goalies can be here after the TDL: Lehner re-signs and Crow gives a 10 team list of teams not in the goalie market.
Not saying it will happen, but it could.
Gus could be here if he signs a cheap deal. Not saying I would like that much, but..... |

I understand that many feel that Jesse Puljujarvi's development was mishandled by the Oilers but, do the Hawks really want to take a chance on seeing if they can turn him into an NHLer? Don't they have their hands full with Nylander the lesser and Strome.
I'd pass. Let another team roll the dice on him. |

There are several ahead of Saad I would move before him. He is one of the few 200 ft players on this team. |
