Penalty shots are funny. They should still be a 2 min. penalty. If scored on the shot, no 2 min. If not scored the team should still serve the 2 min.

We have 6 defensemen playing tonight, we have De Haan and Seabrook next year, PLUS Mitchell and Beaudin, and maybe Krys and Carlsson and Gilbert and Vlasic. THATS FOURTEEN. Count em !! This is NOT a playoff team, nor will it be next year. Guys need to be moved and get something decent in return. Do we want to lose Saad or Murphy ? No, but they have high cap hit. How about Kubalik ? If we don't, then Stan better do something, because our cap situation next year is gonna be ugly. Teams who want one final piece, like the Lightning or Vega$, could be trade partners for Gus. Or maybe some team wants Maata or Murphy ? You CAN believe that Bowman is talking to a bunch of teams about lots of different scenarios.

As Stan should be doing after all he is the GM and he has alot of work in front of him to bring this team back to being competitive.

Of defensemen with offensive prowess, who are AVAILABLE at a low cap hit, who is better than Gus ? Lightning can use him for a depth piece. Yeah they can stand pat, but this is a player who hardly cost anything so why not ? What do they need a late 1st rounder for, when WE need it.

Looked better than it was - Hawks had one PP that out up a lot of shots (although without any player movement or net presence) - Pred has the better of the 5x5 stats.
