Am I missing something? Crawford is 35 years old and concusses himself every time he sneezes. How in the world can anyone justify signing him for 2 or 3 more years at any price? God willing Crawford and Seabrook retire with some dignity this offseason. Sign Lehner and get what you can for Gus, Maata, Strome and Caguila. Senior core of Keith, Toews, Kane & Saad and Junior core of Boquist, Dach, DeBrincat and Kubalik.

Yes you are missing something.
Crow had two traumatic injuries. He has seemingly not been effected and he has been effective the last year and a half. I would have no problem with him signing for one year if the price is right. I would be hesitant to give him two years, but if the price is low enough I might think about it. By that time one of the Hawks young goalies should be ready.

Seabs is not retiring and going to leave $20 mil on the table. We will see what kind of player he is in camp after rehabilitating 7 months from 3 in-season surgeries

Lots of other NHLers have had 2 or more concussions. Crosby? Toews?

Signing CC to a short term 2 year deal At reasonable money makes some sense. He’s still showing that he can be a #1, and he’d be a hell of a backup if the
Hawks go younger in goal.

It's interesting that teams would be more interested in Kreider since he's a FA at the years end when Saad has another year of control. Lotta different reasons why that may be but its funny how having term in different sports can hurt and help your value

When you checked the stats did you notice that the Bruins lead the entire league in points. They are looking for a complimentary piece to fall in with a pretty talented group. He also is only 24, signed through next year and even then is only a RFA. Think of the Hawks obtaining Vermette. We gave up a 1st round pick and Dahlbeck for a guy who was 33 had 13 goals and 22 assists and was a rental. That is how you win Cups.

I would not be too quick to discount Dreger's trade report. If Sorokin's teammates were communicating this to his sources, there may be some truth here. The Hawks are pretty secretive before they announce anything. Say they are still in the middle of these negotiations with a lot of moving parts yet to be decided, do you think they would respond to Dreger with "Yeh, we are getting Sorokin. Just have to work out a few details." This does not sound like the Hawks' way of doing things.
