just goes to show how much confidence we have in Green.

Do you think TG would be smart enough to change the line up after a loss to the (frank)en Wild? Or if a line goes a combined -6 they should be kept together after one of the players on that line hasn't had a point in 9 games and missed an absolute sitter in the game.

Nope. TG too stupid. Plus Marky has been pretty poor lately, better not play the other goalie either. Not as if they are in the thick of a playoff race.

Why experiment when losing.

Lines for the #Canucks vs.
@mnwild
:

Pearson-Horvat(C)-Eriksson
Miller-Pettersson-Toffoli
Roussel-Gaudette-Virtanen
Motte-Beagle-Sutter(A)

Edler(A)-Stecher
Hughes-Tanev
Benn-Myers

Markstrom

------------------------------
It's only a line up and doesn't mean that's the way it's going to stay during the game but it's a bit mind numbing just looking at it.

That’s either an old tweet, or BB is going senile. It says “Canucks vs @mnwild”, which was last game, they play Boston next...

Luongo would never retire

Eriksson would never ride the bus

Jim Benning will have $30m in cap space in two years

FFS put Toffoli with Horvat-Pearson and JV with Miller -Petey. LE can rotate from the 3rd-4th lines.

Is Green a f'ing idiot?

Stecher should be in the press box for a tour. I heard Fanty was ready to go?

wow

You do realize that the same people who were saying Luongo wouldn't retire are the same people who think Eriksson will rip up his contract.

Its certainly possible that Eriksson decides to quit but the most likely scenario just like Luongo is that the Canucks will have to deal with the consequences of those contracts.

Worst case they buy him out next summer and they save $2MM in cap. I’d be shocked if he is is willing to accept a two years in Utica. No (frank)ing way. It would be hilarious if he does though.

Also, get your facts straight. Everyone thought Luongo WOULD retire. Some just didn’t think we would be the only team to be penalized from a BS Rule under the old CBA

Give zack mac that spot with EP or BO and see what happens. Or goldy even, Miller wouldn’t let him be a little B

Mind numbing indeed. That line was -6 collectively last game.

+/- is at best a misleading stat but to add up a line's collective +/- and to try and make a point a whole new level of dumb.

They were a collective -2....

Collecting it was Eriksson who lost the game because he can't score.

Like I said the same people who think Luongo's contract wasn't going to burn us are the same people who think Eriksson is going to just decline 5-8M.

Luongo did a solid for his team.

Vancouver's going to have a serious grievance vs. the league if Weber retires and they don't enforce the rule on Nashville.

It’s $5MM. So you believe Luoi won’t quit if he is living in Utica for 2 years. Been to Utica?

Dhaliwal: Canucks working hard to trade Baertschi's contract; aren't in a position to add sweeteners
TSN1040's Rick Dhaliwal says the Canucks tried to include Sven Baertschi in the Tyler Toffoli deal & it didn't work. Rick says they'd like to include Baertschi in a deal for Wayne Simmonds but it hasn't worked. Rick says the problem is, the Canucks aren't in a position right now to add any sweeteners in a deal.
--------------------
Buffalo trades a 4th for 4 million dollar Michael Frolik 2 points in 15 games and 12 points in 53 games on the season.

I really have no idea why teams aren't taking a chance on Baertschi.

Right. Team wants muscle but they send Bailey to Utica and Zac Mac sits but Eriksson has 4 hits since he became a Canuck and he is in the top 6.

I think the league would look at it as cap circumvention if they agree to rip up the contract the day after the signing bonus.
