Very good in the middle rounds, that's a good idea

Todd Richards wouldn't be a bad head coach either......

Cozens' results in the WHL far outpace anything Mittelstadt did in the USHL. His NHLe is much higher too. It's not a reflection of their ceiling, but the overall results in that time frame

Casey was the 2nd best prospect in the world behind Pettersson and buffalo wanted him signed asap

Trade them Cozens and Sam please!!!!

Thats a ridiculous offer.

Youd make a worse GM if you combined, Darcy, Murray, Botterill and Cia into one person

Imagine if we just didn’t resign Skinner, Mojo could of been the 2LW and we could have spent the $9M on goaltending and a 2C.
- Pegullaville

This is valid. Fans should stop using the Skinner deal as a feather in JB’s chapeau.

Thanks for providing some reason.

Do you feel he should be fired for all the other stuff he's whiffed on? Or do you think he should be retained for another season?

- gcomella34

to be honest, I don't know. How many times do we keep changing coaches and gm's ? That hasn't worked so now you move players, some that you didn't want to move.

Do you think if Pegula pays the bonus, Thomas is involved and not Tage.
- Buff36

They weren't giving up Thomas. Just my opinion. Don't give up on Tage. Injury was horrible timing. Big guys like that take a while and he was dominating in Rochester when he got called up. If you saw him play three years ago at U Conn, he weighed about 15 pounds. Looked like Ichabod Crane. Next year will be the litmus test. Big guys with that kind of skill don't grow on trees. We'll see, but I would fall on optimistic side with him next year. Could change perspective on ROR deal, as he and the pick were the real pieces in that trade. Rest were throw-ins. Who did we get with the pick, the D man late in first last year?

Johnson was the pick
I think the bonus screwed a lot up in that ROR trade.

I really want to be wrong about being disappointed in the Ryan Johnson pick.

91: Ryan Johnson, Buffalo Sabres
Previous Rank: Not Ranked

A great two-way defender, Ryan Johnson doesn’t have high-end offense, but he has everything else. He’s a strong skater, with excellent edges. He gets over-eager sometimes, pinching and getting caught, but as he continues to develop he’ll know when to time his attack. Until then, he’s solid in his own end and is a very promising defender for the Sabres. He should be a top-four defenseman in Buffalo in a few years.

He's the player version of Tim Murray

Will say exactly what is on his mind, but can't put it together on the ice

This is 100% accurate.

On the other hand Larsson is the exact player this team needs on the bottom line.

Wanna make a splash and show that this organisation is tired of what's been going on, trade Mitts, a 1st and make them take Skinner and get Patrick Kane. Add more if needed.

I think Larsson is the one player Botts is getting calls on

Teams need a player like him in the playoffs

Louis Domingue has been placed on waivers.
This comes after a report that Domingue will be held out of Thursday's game for precautionary reasons. It's entirely possible that Domingue will both clear waivers and be traded. The reason is that any team which acquires him after he cleared waivers can then stash him in the AHL without having to risk exposing him to waivers themselves. That gives any team acquiring him some added flexibility.

Where's the one that says Carter Hutton on waivers ?

Skinner has a NTC...would he waive to go to Chicago?

Realistically it would cost Mitts a 1st Skinner and probably another 2nd or 3rd round pick to even start this convo

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired Phil Varone from Montreal.
Varone has four goals and 14 points in 27 AHL games this season. The 29-year-old forward has 97 career NHL games under his belt.

Strange to say “great two-way defender” then follow it up by saying “doesn’t have high-end offense”. Unless “two-way” referred to playing right and left sides.
Anywho, it is nice to read kind words about the player.
