So who are we leaving in Pittsburgh after the game?

And do you think bjustead’s bags are packed already?

Just got some info from my source

It seems Montreal is willing to pay the PRICE when it comes to certain THINGS not coming to light. Word is, the whole team is about to implode. Like as in LITERALLY, they are going to sink into the EARTH, a move that will send SHOCKWAVES throughout the NHL.

Also, just got a text.

It's licorice.

Who the heck would want a 10 million dollar goalie? And not even in his prime.

Rico did say price was being traded years ago 😂

Price and Henrik have been the best goalies the last 10 years or so. So I agree with that

I just would never pay a goalie that much.

Need to hit on a goalie when they are young or when they have a cap hit that is team friendly.

Matt Murray
Binnington
Timmy T

I’m sure there are other examples

agreed

unless you have a legit stud in net, I subscribe to a 1A and 1B goalie situation

But not at 10.5 mill for another 7. Seven! Years!

How much you want to bet he becomes allergic to his blocker in about 5 years and just can’t take the rash it causes to place his had inside his blocker any longer.

The above is what's going to hamper the Lightning's chances after this year with the 8 year deal at $9.5M per their starting goaltender will be on.

Interesting read oN Risto from Travis Yost.

https://buffalonews.com/2...-ristolainen-jack-eichel/

I still maintain the best course for the Sabres is
- trade Risto this offseason, unless Botts can drive a good deal on him by Monday.
- sign Montour this offseason, to less than $5.0m, play him at RhD next to Dahlin, Miller as 2RhD
- trade either Miller or Monte in the 2021 Offseason.

Joker should be primed to take over 2RhD or 1RhD by 2021-2022 season.
Borgen becomes the 3RhD

Yup I 100% agree. I also don’t think he’s not as great as he’s made out to be. I think he’s good not great. Being on a loaded roster makes him great

Not an awful plan. The only thing is monte might want north of $5 per... I’m fine with him in the $5s. But once you start getting into the $6 range I think it’s a bit much for him...

You almost have to trade your goaltender or let him go to free agency right at the point he's about to get a large pay day, to avoid over paying.

The Red Wings could very well have the same issue as the Sabres long term. It's not as easy as people think to lose on purpose and just turn things around.

Ottawa is approaching it the right way.

When you have a roster like Tampa ..... a goalie replacement shouldnt be too hard to find.

Heck the rangers have 3 good goalies right now. Henrik makes 9 mill to be a bench warmer

"Roster mismanagement excluded, rebuilds shouldn’t take particularly long. We have seen plenty of teams quickly stock the cupboards. Lest we forget, the Toronto Maple Leafs were once in the same position as the Sabres – they just happened to nail an impressive number of draft picks and parlayed some of their roster assets into pieces more suitable for long-term success."

This excerpt above from the article conveniently leaves out the quality, young veteran players that were already on the Leafs roster, such as JVR and Kadri, when they cratered. That is a massive help to the young players, as it allows them to play supporting roles instead of being relied on to carry the entire load of the team. Eichel for example, having to do nearly everything.
