Botts is sort of in a tight spot. Other GMs know he has a flawed asset and a grumpy fanbase.

Even though it might make the team better in the long term, he may feel he can't afford the optics of trading Risto for a 3rd (or 2nd or whatever), a B prospect, and a big, money-evening cap dump.

Standing pat at the deadline, except for a 4th coming back (Larsson, Vesey etc), could be the most probable outcome.

I highly doubt that Reinhart goes anywhere but he has turned down offers for Risto because he didn't want to move him, that may change now. You probably can put Reinhart on the list with Eichel.
