I agree he is not a huge deal at all, however, if the GM is waiting for obvious moves like Nylander for Jokiharju or low risk moves like Vesey for a 3rd or Sheary for a 3rd, and is against making real hockey trades, it is going to take years and years for the team to actually be good.

He seems risk adverse, gun shy, and overly patient.

That is a scary combination.

Dump the crap at the deadline

This off season priority list:

Find a 2nd line center
Find a capable goaltender (if Hutton didn't blow up they're sitting 2-4 points out right now if not in the last playoff spot)
Find a 2nd line LWer

I used to be on here all the time. You guys would have hated it. Every time a trade was made, people would say that player A would have been a perfect fit in Buffalo, and GM _________ should be shot, stabbed, tortured and fired for not making the deal.

They only gave up player X, prospect Y and pick Z to get player A. We could have sent Fat/Slow/Old/Injured/Overpaid player, Girgerenkoensonov, and a 4th. Player A is going to be the next Gretz.
