Impossible to predict where it falls. Based on the stength of their team, you expect them to advance through the playoffs.

So, likely, it's a 25-31 pick. The kind of pick that's, and I'm sorry, essentially as valuable (realistically) as an early to mid 2nd.

Look. It's a situation, where in the past I've been critical of Botterill. But in the scenario where I saw his dopey, hangdog face, where I felt sympathy for the guy. I'm just a softie with empathy in his heart.

I used to be on here all the time. You guys would have hated it. Every time a trade was made, people would say that player A would have been a perfect fit in Buffalo, and GM _________ should be shot, stabbed, tortured and fired for not making the deal.

They only gave up player X, prospect Y and pick Z to get player A. We could have sent Fat/Slow/Old/Injured/Overpaid player, Girgerenkoensonov, and a 4th. Player A is going to be the next Gretz.

I'm kinda starting to feel a little sorry for JB. Watching those clips from Ottawa made me a little sad. I was convinced he didn't give a crap how the team played this year. I honestly don't think he knew he was on camera and he looked upset.

Now I'm sure he doesn't listen to fans, or really care what they think or say. But this deadline is coming, and as previously stated by other posters, he has little to no ammunition with which to improve the team right now. There's going to be a flurry of activity and all he'll be able to do is one or two of the most minor of moves, at best.

Hopefully, the offseason is a different story.

I don't agree with that altogether, they can play really good hockey, just don't do it enough. Better backup goaltending is a must, get a legit 2C for Skinner. Get another decent winger, hope a couple youngins take there spots. And they are playoff team. Finally start seeing more and more of the prospects hit the system.

We don't. I think people are just saying that if we had to give up a 4th foo Frolik or could have signed Pommer for free, we should have just signed Pommer.
