I guess he should’ve traded for PK Subban & Kessel
And signed Erik Karlsson
Let’s say Cozens & Mitts are good top6 players a year or 2 from now...
Was he still a bad GM bc he didn’t rush things like GMTM?
Or was he smart for building through the draft & developing young talent? - jdfitz77
can't keep pissing away seasons with eichel in his prime |

You see it as pissing seasons away, I see it as potentially building a dynasty.

Also can’t snap your fingers & be a contender
Jersey tried to do that with Hall & PK...
How’d that work out?
Still think we should’ve traded for PK?
How about giving Botts credit for NOT making a bad trade?

Honestly, I don’t mind him in a 3rd line roll. I’d re sign him if Reasonably priced. And I’d re up lazar.
So... erod? Grigs? Or Gus might get ya something... - Gr8daygo
When they traded for Vesey the talk after was they wanted to keep him, things may have changed now. I don't think Botterill expected this team to be as bad. |

They like Vesey more then Girgensons, they know what they will get with Girgensons, the same crap we have seen for last few years, not much. |

Nick Bjugstad (core muscle surgery) has begun skating again.
Bjugstad has been out of action since November 15 and it was thought at the time, he would remain out for eight weeks, but it has been 12 weeks and he just started skating Saturday. "It’s real encouraging," coach Mike Sullivan said. "We’ll see where it goes, but that certainly indicates significant progress." He has lost his job as a top-six forward as the Penguins have added Jason Zucker to the mix, but he could be a solid third line center once he returns. He has little fantasy value with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin ahead of him on the depth chart.

That's pretty sad considering they both had meetings with Skinner to convince him to resign here. |

Risto and Sheary for Johansen. - ImThatGuy
***This is not just @ you
I just don’t get how so many ppl want him?
I’d rather have Bonino... not kidding!
Bonino (4.1mil cap hit) 17g-17a-34pts +19
*and does this without PP time & on line3
*even strength points- 16g-17a-33pts
*zone starts: offensive 35.8%, defensive 64.2%
Johansen (8.0m cap hit) 12g-22a-33pts -3
*and plays exclusively in the top6 with PP time &
*even strength points: 8g-15a-23pts
*zone starts: offensive 56.3%, defensive 43.7%
Ryan Johansen is one of the most overrated players in the entire league & is criticized for lack of effort & underperforming
And Bonino is one of the most underrated, known for working hard & being a good 2way player
and would cost leas in a trade
It’s really not even close imo |

I don't get the skinner treatment
scoring = winning
winning cures everything
just bury a 9mil 40 goal scorer down the roster |

It's very bizarre.
If they want to spread out the scoring, why is Reinhart with Jack? Wouldn't you move Reinhart off of that line to create balance? Again, very bizarre what is going on with Skinner. The coaches aren't helping him at all. |
