Best case scenario, we deal him for a haul to a team that doesn’t get far and he doesn’t mesh with his linemates. Realizes he loves NY and playing with Zib and Buch. Comes back on a good deal for both. Just south of 7 for 5 or 6.

New kid Gauthier looked good in his debut. Certainly could be an upgrade over Fast, Howden, McKegg & Haley...

Since we are clearly keeping Hank on the bench, why do we keep playing Staal? I wish we would treat them the same...

I think there’s ways around it. I think this group is finally coming together as a team and is playing the best hockey we’ve seen in the last 4? 5? Years. If we could find a way to keep the Panarin/Strome and KZB lines together for the near future I think we’ll be a very tough team to beat. If Shesty started the season we’d be in the playoffs, unfortunately he didn’t but we’re a playoff team going forward in my opinion. I wouldn’t break this team up going into next year.

Yeah, like 785862848483 said, there’s ways around it. To me, the “you have to trade him” argument is based on the return. It’s going to be BIG.
