I would like to have played also but bad back and two bad knees prevented me from playing just some street hockey with friends in the past.
- Scott1977

If you are in the Chicago area….Canlan has a fantastic men's league program. Well organized, mostly clean, and multiple skill levels......had to throttle done due to some lower body injuries and work commitments.

Believe they also opened up a facility up north now...…

There is also a decent mens league tournament at the edge run by the AHAI.....

Only trade saad if hawks can get a haul for him would actually like to see hawks extend him after july 1st .
- Scott1977

I hope Saad spends a summer working on his finishing. He does that he will take a huge leap. Guy just can't finish as well as he should. Does a TON Of stuff at a high level.....

I agree....they need to be blown away and Zucker set the market.....they need to get a HUGE haul.....some team very well could pay it.

This team is done....they have multiple teams to leap by, they have shown the ability to NOT string together enough consistency to warrant any type of monetary investment to add this and RISK losing multiple guys for absolutely nothing....and for what?

Met Murray Bannerman at the Jewel on Naper Blvd back in the day.

I dont' know who JC has developed or what he is or isn't.....but it's a moot point. I don't see them relieving him of his duties. Not unless Bowman goes with him....and this organization, right or wrong, doesn't make decisions like that easily.

Teams like Boston and Pittsburgh have managed to retool and stay in the window a little longer, while the Kings and Hawks haven't been able to. IS what it is.....relish the previous decade and realize they probably haven't hit rock bottom yet.

- SteveRain

I've met Murray many times, the first when I was 12.... Ironically he ended up being a director of a rink a town over from mine (at the time)... Regardless of that my point is that this team isn't done yet in the near future.... Bowman has 12 million in cap space to improve this team - now - and I'm confused as to why he has not made any moves yet...... There are several players he could get for basically nothing... Byfuglien (who is being held hostage basically) and Kovalchuk - two guys the Hawks could afford...... Now I don't want to create a rabbit hole as to why, I'm just curious as to why he hasn't tried...

My thoughts:

Byfuglien will be a Blackhawk after the Jets terminate his contract...

As far as Kovi - well I'm sure Bowman doesn't want to give up the assets right now to acquire him right now - but a lot can change over the next week...

I just believe if this team can acquire the right players and are allowed to play and do what they do unlike JC's authoritarian method that this team could really turn around and slip into the playoffs and perhaps be the next Blues..... IMO, I just think JC is an authoritarian coach - and the guy is younger than some of the core... He's not a "players coach" like Q was and this has been a skill team and it's making it difficult for skilled players to play their game er "freestyle" on plays........

Well folks, give me your best "fake trade" proposals because this team has to 100% be a seller now.

DM me your best offers. I'll be putting a blog together tomorrow.

- Tyler Cameron

Ok i mention these trades before
Lehner strome and 4th for bryham or girad and bowers franchouz and 2nd
Gus and sikrua to Edmonton for 2nd and rights to jesse
Crawford to Carolina for 2nd and kukkanon excuse the spelling

wait until they get a can't pass up offer for Saad by Monday's deadline.....

This will be a fun place.

- SteveRain

If they get a can't pass up offer for anyone short of Dach or Boqvist they should pretty much be doing it.

And I mean a legit offer, not some BS clickbait "two seconds for Sharp" type poop that's only reported on the nether regions of the interwebs.

I agree....unless it has a blue checkmark OR is said by a credible person on TV....McKenzie, Dreger, LeBrun, etc...….its' not even worth discussing.

Thus my comment about a guy who is employing the previous blogger from here on his payroll....as a source.

Lehner called the third period one of the worst of the season. "I would say collapse. Look at their goals. A lot of alone chances right in front. We got out-battled. I need to make an extra save, but honestly, that period was not very good."

Saad to boston for a 1st and bjork plus hawks would take backes contract in return if boston would include zbroil. This of course if boston does not land krieder. Stll like to keep saad.

Highly unlikely trades that would happen but tried to be creative and thinking who should be moved.

Buff hasn't skated.....all year. IF you said you have played hockey you know how hard it is in to get back into game shape....and he is also a guy who isn't the greatest at conditioning.

Montreal is going to want something decent for Kovalchuk

Blues started a run around the new year and never stopped.

This team hasn't started a run yet......maybe a small one followed up by massive let downs and not just 1 game....multiple.

They are done.

I haven't given it much thought....but a 1st and more is at least the want.

Though he did (sort of) here, I feel like he hesitates to call out his own foibles, while calling out the team frequently.

With his own struggles lately, how is that going over in the room? Mayers seems to think his teammates should love it.

Boston wants Saad. It is costing them their Finnish D prospect, Urho Vaakanainen, to start the conversation.

I got your point earlier, but there are more than a few differences between how the present and former blogger teed up a rumor...no?

Ty named the guy whether you found the "source" credible or not. If JJ was such a good guy, the least he could have done is credited Paulr when he was running with Paul's made up trade up rumors.

Mayers is full of poop. That poop gets old in a locker room real quick. You can do that once, maybe twice before it starts to cause some friction.

Mayers would be the 1st guy to get in his face.

in the room is fine. Putting it out there constantly? Nah.

After this performance, a 3rd would seem like a gift. Really really bad performance. There is zero chance this team will be a playoff team anytime soon. If Rangers, yes, the Rangers can score 6 against our GOOD goalie, what are they gonna score against Lankinen, 10 ?? This was truly a shocking stretch since the break. I would not be surprised if thursday morning we hear that Colliton has been relieved of his duties. Loss after loss, trade values plummeting, and we need cap space to sign Kubalik and extend Saad ??? Is this a nuthouse or what ?? All we can do is hope that Stan can get some picks in trades for ANYONE. Whats the point in trying to make patches anymore. And I sure would like to give Marc Crawford a chance for the rest of the year, I think it would be a breath of fresh air, which is SORELY needed right now.

Jeremy - they weren't ready to play? In the NHL, player game preparation is a big part of a coaching staff's job. As is winning some games on home ice after a couple of days off, which is also reflecting poorly on you. Your team reflects no urgency.

That's how it would go over with me, so makes sense. And, when this is your stat line, maybe talk only about yourself or zip it!

@BenPopeCST

The Hawks have just six home wins since Nov. 18.

Robin Lehner has just one win in his last five starts (and an .888 sv% in them).
