Way off topic but my wife’s friend was served notice that she is being sued for illegally downloading a movie. The documentation looks very serious.
You guys ever hear of such a thing?

Not the way the Leafs are playing this year.

Only thing I'd say gives the Leafs a small chance this year is that the Bruins played a lot of hockey last year and could run out of gas by time the playoffs start. They've already been showing signs of slowing down. But again, given how the Leafs are playing defensively, their odds are slim.

Probably, but at least I’ll be on the right side of history. Leafs will lose. Barrie will walk. But at least feelings weren't hurt.

As long as they try? They aren’t last years Jackets. The Leafs are built for the future. Take a step back, regain your footing, and try again next year. Tampa made the Finals in 2015, missed the playoffs in 2017, they’re now on the verge of back to back President trophies.

Letting an asset like Barrie walk for nothing, in a year where nothing (but Matthews) is going their way, is terrible asset management. Why risk it?

On Insider Trading Dreger says he believes the Leafs and Muzzin have agreed on an extension for 4 years at a little over $5.5M. Says it will be front-loaded and have some form of no-trade. Leafs can't announce it yet due to tagging rules.

OK. I stand corrected. Dallas once or twice in 10 games, and the other 8 against bottom half teams. Still, a cozy little schedule. Nice to see them play some high tier teams to see how they fare.
