Could be a scam to get money out of you but even if real it's tough for them to prove. Several of those cases were thrown out because content owners couldn't prove the defendants wireless network wasn't used by a third party. (Like a neighbor)
They only have your IP and MAC address of your router.
Sort of like someone stealing your car and doing a hit and run. If the cops can't place you in the car at the time of crime they can't charge you personally.

Probably, but at least I’ll be on the right side of history. Leafs will lose. Barrie will walk. But at least feelings weren't hurt.
