Look....we don’t need to poop all over Madden because Benning traded him, in the redraft sites he’s moved up to a late first, which speaks to Brackett’s drafting brilliance. The kid is small but he’s a legit good prospect, albeit a long shot imo, he’s a good young prospect. - Pacificgem
He's also spare parts, albeit better spare parts than we've had in a while, let's not make him out any more than he is. Redrafts mean nothing when so many factors go into how a player ends up. He may be a late 1st now in a redraft, but he might regress in LA and drop to a low end 4th.
He's a prospect with upside, but he's also small for an NHL C, and is not tearing it up in the NCAA in his +1 draft year. He's not jumping over Petey, Bo and Gaudette and if he makes it to the dance, it's probably as a winger and we have a glut of wing prospects that'll be in the lineup before him. |

The beauty of having a solid prospect pool is it gives you the flexibility to do these things |

Not sure anyone is poopting all over Madden, my comments are he is an NCAA good player that has a long way to go, good player possible NHL talent in 3+ years. |

How about those Flyers, they just keep winning. Giroux with 11 points in his last six games since switching back to the wing #playoffs |

He is decent. Like most other things here and on social media you get a bunch of people that haven't seen him play a full game driving up the hype. Soon as any player gets a little recognition we turn him into a superstar.
There is nothing special about his game he is not a star player. He is a decent to good college player.
Getting a player like Toffoli for Madden and a second is a steal. |

Not too bad, best thing they could have done is get rid of Hextall, hire a really good coach, next thing you know a mediocre team responds positively.
Now if Benning hires a decent coach, with this talented team just think of the possibilities |

You’re so clueless it’s almost as painful as talking to poophawk. Madden is a star NCAA player, he’s 4th in the entire Div I for scoring and he’s 5th in PPG for the entire NCAA with 1.37 PPG. There’s 60 teams in Division I NCAA hockey.
He’s a great college player, that doesn’t mean he’ll be a good NHL’er but he’s sure as hell a great college player this year. If you’ve watched him play you’d know he’s a great young college player. |

The cap situation is still a mess, there’s a ton of bad contracts on the books. Just because you’re compliant on day one doesn’t mean you don’t have issues, their flexibility is nonexistent.
But I agree, they need to take a step forward, although I’d be surprised if they win a round, just being there is important. I never would’ve guessed it at the beginning of the year, but then I saw Miller put this team on his back. - Pacificgem
There are no cap issues. |

I can’t believe Hexy stuck with Hakstol, having AV behind the bench has made a huge difference. |

How many games did you watch him play stud? I bet the the answer is zero

I think you a full of sh1t pal . You don't watch amateur hockey at all. I asked you last year about what you liked about prospects and you couldn't tell me one thing.
Go gey Lefty he doesn't bullsh1t as much as you do.

Playoffs or not, Benning isn’t going anywhere this summer.
Team will have a lot more cap flexibility than many think. I expect Loui will be gone after his signing bonus is paid out (Bogosian style if needed). If TT does well, quite likely he re-signs and players such a Jake and Stecher are used to recoup draft picks at the draft (unless they agree to reasonable RFA deals). Sutter is movable with one year left and players such as Leivo/MacEwen can fill out the bottom six. Ferland is likely done.
Key focus is signing Marky and TT (if he fits). Petey should be extended next given chance of an offer sheet in 2021 summer. Hughes is safe given no arb rights and is not offer sheet eligible.
Miller Petey TT ($16MM incl bonus)
Pearson Bo Boeser ($15.25MM)
Rous Gaud Leivo ($7MM)
Motte Beagle MacEwen ($5.25MM)
($43.50MM)
Hughes Tanev ($7.50MM incl bonus)
Elder Rafferty/Juolevi ($7.25MM)
Benn Myers ($8MM)
XX ($1MM)
($23.75MM)
Marky ($6.25MM)
Demko ($1.05MM)
($7.3MM)
Line-up Total = $74.55
Other = $6.4MM

You mean thanks to Benning for putting Brackett in place and establishing a clear criteria for the scouts to utilize when evaluating prospects. Benning forever! Over the top? OK, over the top |

So if Canucks miss the playoffs by a point Jim is out of here .
It is great to have ownership base 6 years of work on a single game
I could see if they were not even close but I think this don't make the playoffs and your out pure horsesh1t. - VANTEL
Agree, both Benning and Green will be back next year unless one of them gets caught with a hooker in their hotel room |

No kidding, what is with these stupid lineups....Toffoli and Pearson have past chemistry, and Bo needs Erikssonoff his line but Green is such a poophead he does the opposite. - Makita
Think big picture Mackey. Can the 3rd line function without virtanen? No. Can Loui play defence? Yes |

If he’s a “pure rental” it’s a Cup or Bust trade that potentially cost us 2 future core pieces. - DrChristianTroy
DCT - I respect your opinions, but you are overstating it quite a bit. It is a trade that cost us 2 pieces that have potential to be NHL players in the future and which is a “pure rental” unless TT re-signs.
Suggesting that a not-yet-drafted middle 2nd round 18 year old pick, or a pint-sized center scoring at a lower rate than AG at the same point in his career, are locks to be future core pieces is very optimistic. Mikita might say “hyperbole“.
We can probably agree it is a win now move. |

Maybe Green will have Toffoli with Petey/Miller instead of Horvat/Pearson just to spite the media lol
