But But picks
- VANTEL

I love picks lol, but there comes a time when you use them to help the team when you have petey, hughes to build around, not you but come on people stop the whining and let's see some playoffs it's been 4 (frank)in years and you know it might be good for these young guys to get a taste and come back hungrier next year to get back.

I think FA’s patience is pretty thin, I still think he might pull the trigger on JB if they, regardless of how they miss. It’s not like we’re in year 1 or 2 of the rebuild where it’s not possible to take a step forwards. I think JB (and Green) needs the team to make it, even as the 2nd WC, or they get canned. It’s also not like there’s no good replacements available to try and get them there if the current management/coaching group falters.

Aquilini is the biggest fan of this team. He is constantly on Twitter slurping . He would look like the biggest idiot if it came down to one game or one month.

If he already has it in mind to get rid of Benning then this playoff run should not affect his decision one way or the other. He should already know if Benning is staying or going.

This site is full of armchair GMs but the reaction to Benning at the Sedin retirement shows this fan base is behind him . It is a few of I know more than you fan base that are making the noise.

Exactly, and Mikita, love the avatar, Robotech was my favorite cartoon in the 80’s. Still have my Veritech model somewhere in my parent’s attic.

Yeah, but how would it make FA look if they miss for a 5th consecutive year with Benning having pushed all his chips in the middle to get them to make it? I could see you being right if Benning hadn't gone for Miller at the Draft, Ferland in FA and now Toffoli at the TDL. Sure, if they miss because of one game or so, yeah he's probably safe because you can argue that they missed Boeser for the stretch run and Toffoli no matter how much playoff experience he has doesn't replace that kind of offense/offensive upside. Still, you can't argue that he's not on the hot seat, maybe not exactly make the playoffs or fired, but better make the playoffs or next year you won't get any rope at all and be fired by Christmas if the team isn't above the playoff bar.

No kidding, what is with these stupid lineups....Toffoli and Pearson have past chemistry, and Bo needs Erikssonoff his line but Green is such a poophead he does the opposite.
- Makita

Meh, see how it rolls out during the game. I’m sure if he starts with that, he won’t end with that.

Buffalo will miss their 9 th in a row.

Benning takes the team from 9 th worst to one of the top teams in the conference.

Do people really think ownership would be letting Benning trade picks and prospects this week and fire the GM in two months

If the canucks have less than three picks at this year's draft, do they get a table to sit around or is it just stools at the bar?

And Buffalo is on it's third GM and 4 coach in that span, I'm not saying it's playoffs or bust for him, just that I don't think he gets any wiggle room unless two or more of Petey, Bo, Hughes and Marky go down for a long stretch and they can't make it up. He doesn't have the excuses he did before where he didn't have depth or the assets to get that depth. He's got to deliver or at least show that the team would have made the playoffs if injuries weren't as bad as they've been the last couple of years.

Not going to have an entire team of draft picks with zero playoffs experience.
- manvanfan

Yup its part of the age gap thing but now instead getting support players in he can go for more on giving up futures in his last two big deals JTM and now TT. Top 6 transformed to compete status.

Donnie saw him over on one of the other canuck talk sites; canuck army, halfboards, one of those (frank)ing places.

Said he was strangely neutral on the Toffoli trade.
