I'm with you. If Patrick is ready, then that's a good thing for the team. He will have to get a cup of coffee in LHV first to get him used to the game conditions first, but when ready, he would definitely help the team.

I'd give him more than a cup of coffee with the Phantoms. He is waiver exempt, so he could be straight out assigned to LV (no conditioning assignment needed). He had no training camp, no preseason. Didn't play the final two games last season. Didn't have a normal summer of training. Is not even cleared for contact in practice yet, much less cleared to play.

To me, even if thing pick up steam from now onward, he'd still need several weeks with the Phantoms before he's ready to come up and play in NHL stretch drive hockey.
