I understand that thought but with the way Columbus plays, that's tough. I thought the Flyers played as strong a game structurally and managing the puck as they have all year. It would be real easy to fall into the trap of the type of game that Columbus plays and try and force plays leading to turnovers and transition the other way. The Flyers didn't do that. They limited turnovers, chipped pucks deep. Kept a very tight gap and when they had a chance, put pucks on net with traffic. True they got a lot of puck luck tonight but that happens when you play the right way.

Just saw the Jeff Carter rumor. It’s not a dumb idea, especially with Laughton on the third line and uncertainty surrounding Patrick. Depends on what we’re giving up. |

Absolutely, and Columbus isn’t an offensive juggernaut. The objective is to out-score the opponent. Two goals would have done it tonight.

I also think they played well. The team defense was really good and a lot of the columbus shots came when the game was out of reach.
However, I still think you gotta find a way to get more pucks on net because you wont always get a fluky bounce or two. Both sentiments can be true |

I want Hart to start Thursday for lots of reasons...best one though is that a home and home like this with playoff positioning on the line really simulates playoffs. It’s a big opportunity for him to gain experience in an important matchup and confidence on the road.

He wasn't really that busy tonight so we may see him. The only factor is the home/road thing so I wouldn't be surprised to see Elliot.

Good faceoff man. An upgrade on the second third line. If JvR is gonna be on the third line, he needs help.
The Flyers are where they should be in the standings right now. Third seed and no lower heading into the playoffs. These should be our expectation. |

I’d start Elliott on Saturday. I think it’s a missed opportunity not to give Hart this experience otherwise. We’ll see.

He's always had a bridge, but used to never wear it in post game interviews for some reason. Like G used to leave out his tooth. I'm wondering who asked them to tooth up for the media? |

If you try and open it up against Columbus, it's not likely to go well. I want them to play the exact same way Thursday night. That kind of game is a playoff style that can win.

Ridiculous thinking. They are 3-0 so far against Columbus. That's a gain of 6 points in the standings over Columbus. If they lose Thursday night, that knocks it down to a 4 point gain. Now if they had lost last night and Thursday night, that would put them at 2-2 against Columbus. Do the math. How does that work out?
