Is Robin Lehner worth a 1st rounder, prospect + roster player?
No way.
I think either a late 1st round pick (maybe conditional on how the team fares in the playoffs) OR a prospect and a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
I think if Lehner is traded he does not resign with the Hawks. In that case they sign Crow for another year at less than his current cap hit.
My guess is that Lehner has a wink wink deal with the Hawks already. But they will not make it official until they trade Corey, the season ends, or after the TDL. - -Doh-
Depends on the team, Colorado may be willing to pay a steep price now. |

Can see one of Gus or Maatta being traded but not both. If both traded Hawks down to 5 D on the roster unless a D comes back in the trade. But why would a team needing D depth trade away a D? Gilbert would be the logical call up for a replacement for either Gus or Ollie. - boilermaker100
If the Hawks move Maatta and Gus they could always take Bogosian off of Buffalo's hands just to fill out the roster spot for the rest of the year. He is a right D. They could probably trade the future considerations Vegas owes us for Bogosian and a 6th round pick. |

No.
You can’t pack it in when you’re still in the hunt. Sends a bad message to the guys working their asses off to win games. And you never lose games on purpose...bad juju, and bad for team culture. |

First it was a hat trick in an outdoor game.
But fans couldn't throw hats on the ice because they were too far away in their seats. But Vancouver pulled a rabbit - albeit a slow skating goal scoring named Toffoli - out of a hat. This just was not on the ice though. |

Sell.
Would listen on everybody. Would seriously consider Debrincat for the right haul. This is a seller's market. I think one of the goalies is gone by Monday afternoon, as well as Gus. |

Montour, Borgen, Pilut, Johnson - Buff36
I'd go for either Montour or Johnson.
Montour has a year left at $3.875 (give or take) before RFA status. NHL regular already so doesn't need to be broken in. Top 4 on most teams. Or has he fallen in the ranks for the Sabres?
Johnson may have more upside, though. Could have gone 1st round in the last draft but went 31st. Excellent skater who has top 4 potential as a defensively sound blueliner who can flip the ice consistently. Not supposed to be an offensive wizard but that's fine if he maxmizies those other assets. |

With another season left Saad should bring back more than a typical rental.
If Saad was signed for 2-3 years beyond this season I wouldn't deal him. But he has only 1 year left and there's a good chance he leaves after that. If Stan can get a solid piece to help build the future on then he should go for it. |

Montour, Borgen, Pilut, Johnson - Buff36
Montour- makes too much and wants too much on his next contract.
Borgen-redundant for the Hawks. We have our own Borgen types.
Pliut- Meh.
Johnson- He might get the conversation started but he is more of a add on at this point.
Keep in mind Blake Coleman just garnered 2 1st. Strome is 6 years younger with team control for 5 more years. Strome has already exceeded Coleman's best season by quite a bit.
In order to move Strome, the conversation starts and ends with this year's 1st. |

It looks like Rantanen got hurt tonight too. The Avs could be in the market for Saad and Lehner. |

Montour kinda sucks defensively. For the same price, Murph is better. Montour is a RFA after this season. Word out of Buffalo is he is looking for 5M/AAV or so. |

Bogosian is terrible. Just bring up Carlsson and Glibert. Buffalo is about to terminate Bogosian's contract. They don't need anyone to take him off their hands. |

Tyler or anyone else in the know: What ever happened to the trade with Vegas that had "future consideration" attached to it? Is that sill on the table, or was it never on it to begin with? - powerenforcer
I've seen a few ppl ask about this since then; a lot of the time the "future considerations" term is just to make the other team's fan base feel like their getting something back.
When I saw that, I didn't hold my breath that Vegas was ever going to send anything back nor should anyone else.
It was an expansion draft and weird circumstances came with that. |

I enjoy these blogs but LMFAO if you think anyone is giving up a 1st round draft pick for Lehner.. The first rounders are traded by the legit cup contenders and they are all set in goal. You can argue that the AVs need a goalie with Grubauer going down but there's no scenario where Sakic gives up their first on a rental when they dont have a second round pick in this draft either. Plenty of teams (Col, Cal, Edm, Cbj) could use an upgrade in net but they wont be giving up a top 50 pick for it. |
