If Lameriello put all of his eggs in the Kreider basket we’ll be left standing when the music stops. Pretty familiar place for this team especially under Lameriello.

And that is worse, better or indifferent from the prior 2 GM’s?

Barry Trotz on sending Kieffer Bellows (2-1 in 7 games) back to Bridgeport: "Kieffer has done a really good job in his stint. A good start. It’s dried up a little bit for him. I think he’s opened our eyes to his development. He’s done a really good job,"

Well Milbury did to much while making moronic, lopsided trades, and Snow generally did nothing or did something that didn’t move the needle so take your pick. I would say we’re at Snow level since he signed Trotz to a contract. What has lameriello done since then? Which category would you put Lameriello post signing Trotz?

Great job Bellows now go back where you came from so we can get two washed up pieces of garbage into the lineup. Excellent message.

So that little 9 year old dwarf from Australia who was trending because of the video his mom posted about being bullied at school and all these celebs were reaching out after the video and people were donating to his go fund me page turns out he is 18 and a instagram Influencer and has scammed people for over 200,000 with that video

Well if you look at performance, the team made the POs last year, yes with all his shat signings and look to be on their way to another PO birth this year.
I would say, signing Lee, Nelson and Ebs ( evidently more shat signings )and keeping them here as a step in the right direction. I’m sure thats not what most on here would say however it is a lot better than FAs who in the past would bolt from this shat hole organization quick as they had an opportunity. Barry wouldn’t have even considered the Islanders if it wasn’t for Lou being here.
Other than that he has done shat and doesn’t even go into the office everyday. He’s a wild card.

I don’t know locking up Lee and Eberle to me don’t hold the same ground breaking positivity as they do for you evidently. Snow signed Bailey, Pelech, Mayfield, etc. Nobody was organizing parades down Hempstead Tpke for him signing his UFA’s. You saying he legitimatized the organization well ok. When do we start reaping the benefits of this? You just lose your mind when someone, anyone, has any kind of objective conversation about Lameriello. The guy has not done a whole helluva lot since hiring Trotz. That’s reality. If you can’t handle the conversation without losing your mind don’t get yourself involved in it. 😂

Not even sure what “wild card” has to do with? That’s normally something most people refer to Lou with because they have no idea what he’s ever doing? You somehow twisted that into something else in your own mind.

Who knows what Lou will do maybe he’ll do something maybe he won’t but he hasn’t done crap at the draft or the TDL save for trade a 2nd for a 38 yr old defenseman. So far he has been unable to add to the line up to push them over the edge with an aging line up. Them the facts.

Maybe he should go out there and glide around slowly in circles and “get under other players skin”. That’ll keep him in the lineup. Andrew Ladd is coming back into the lineup😂

It seems if you are a forward prospect with the Isles if you are not putting up Crosby numbers right away you go down.

We can say it's only been 1.5 years but Lou has not had a real impact to the roster. I'm sorry but Garth could have signed players like Leo and Fili. They were not exactly high in demand players. It's also not for sure Barry does not come if Isles hired someone like Fitzgerald as GM. Barry got paid and that was a big factor. I'm still happy Lou is GM but his work so far with the roster and his choice to keep Thompson in Bridge leave a lot to be desired.

He’s here for a (frank)ing season and a half and all the team has done was make the POs and win a round and probably make them again this year. That’s more success than this organization has had in decades.
He bought Barry here which was critical. He made shat signi g that solidified the bottom 6 and help the PK.
The coach puts forth a game plan and structure and the players need to be able to execute it and like it or not Lou brought in those players and it has worked.
The Wild ard reference was to some numbnut posting that Lou doesn’t go to work everyday and he’s a wild card. You and I laughed about that one a few times I don’t know with your age and all if you remember.

Of course. I’m in no way saying I hate Lameriello but let’s not sit here and say that this is some incredible demonstration of GM’ing we’re seeing since he hired Trotz. I mean his mere presence legitimizes us to the effect of nobody still wanting to sign here😂. Great point😂

Not everything is rainbows and butterflies that’s all I’m saying nobody is lopping that bullshat up besides well 7. 😂

Let’s see what he does when the music stops but if this is his lineup with all of his groundbreaking, earth shattering, UFA signings, when it’s good it’s still his lineup when it’s bad it also is. His inability to add to the line up to help the team up to this point is factual. It’s undeniable. We have needed scoring for two seasons. We got Andy Greene so far. That not surprisingly hasn’t helped us score any goals. Let’s see what he does by Monday.

I acknowledged that multiple times. Kind of water under the bridge as far as discussions go on this topic. My point is pretty specific but you seem to be getting derailed into something else. I’m stating he has been unable to add to the lineup to help it. You’re again, talking about signing UFA’s, solidifying the bottom 6, helping our PK, whatever. Everything besides what I’m talking about.😂😂😂

It’s ok I’m just stating facts I don’t get to emotional on this topic😂

Let’s see what he does.

Also, not to nitpick but the first bold isn’t true. We did beat the Panthers to get to the second round under Snow and actually put up a little more of a fight against a better team in Tampa.

@AGrossNewsday
John Tonelli also goes out of his way to praise #Isles co-owner Jon Ledecky as a great man, great for the organization. Ledecky took him golfing to discuss jersey retirement.

@AGrossNewsday
John Tonelli on having his No. 27 retired by #Isles: "Ever since I got the call from Lou (Lamoriello), I’ve been in a different mood. Upbeat. Nothing kind of stresses me out. It’s been a constant excitement. A great feeling."

Lou is a big boy and could care less what is posted about him on a hockey site. I honestly though the Isles would be able to hit on a big FA with Lou and Barry onboard and that has not happened yet. If Lou gets credit for Barry he needs to get blame for not being able to add a top FA. Being able to keep some of your own FA's is nice but you also need to make the team better and that's still a work in progress.

How the (frank) is it Lou's fault that players would rather take less money to play elsewhere?

Absolutely (frank) all he can do about that. He's certainly made the money available, which is the ONLY card he play.

He's the GM schwein and it goes with the territory and he is a 3 time Cup winning GM so more will be expected of him and especially when you have a Cup winning coach. These things should help in attracting talent and especially when you are coming off a nice season and Belmont on the way.

Per @SFedotoF Ilya Sorokin's rights are gonna be traded to the Blackhawks soon. I'm hearing the opposite. Lou met Sorokin's agent. There're some requirements from Ilya's side, A and B bonuses and Euro clause. 99% chance Sorokin coming to the NHL next year #Isles #Blackhawks

Yeah, but the ONLY thing he can do in Free Agency is offer players money and term. And he's done those things. It's ridiculous to blame him for the actions of others.

Well part of the job is selling the team and what he’s doing with it. Its not all about outbidding another team as we see. I find it weird that nobody mentions that there’s a huge sales aspect that comes into attracting UFA’s.

With that said I wouldn’t blame Lameriello for not signing UFA’s.
