The Senators and J-G Pageau’s camp have finally commenced contract talks. More on Insider Trading.

Also, listening to Friedman's 31 Thoughts podcast and he seems to think the Isles are in pretty heavy on Kreider. Said he wouldn't put it past Lou to involved a third team. Not sure how much of that is speculation vs. something he knows...so take that however you please.

😂

I knew this was coming.

The first part of my post was acknowledging the market. Second part was ranting not complaining. There’s a difference😂

christ, I mean what the hell would that package have to be? I have to think you're looking at a 1st and Wahlstrom. I don't think the Isles have any other prospect that's worth much in a trade...outside of Dobson who they'd be painfully stupid to move for a rental

I still don't believe for a second the Isles are involved with Kreider, imo

Not sure if I told you. I’m not a fan of Kreider.

I believe they're very interested in him. He checks a lot of boxes.

What I don't believe is that the two teams would make a deal. But if Friedman is talking about it...

It would be the biggest trade the two teams executed in my lifetime. The only way that happens is if Lameriello grossly overpays which I’m not on board with. At all.

With this said agreed not happening. Not a chance.

Why wouldn’t they be. Fast, big top 6 forward. Fits the bill. Now will they get him is a different story but you have to think they are interested in him.

I just don't see how it works, they won't want a defenseman, has to be a forward

Interested yes, I think any team in playoff position is. But Friedman makes it sound like there is heavy petting going on right before they bang

Gotta believe the only way the Rangers would trade kreids to the isles would be a huge overpayment. Usually you wouldn't see a trade like this between rivals

I guess you could go with something like the Schweiner said. Maybe Bellows. I just can't imagine them parting with Wahlstrom for a rental, he's got too much potential.

Flames took Lucic. Since that happened, I’ll not discount anything.

Yup, I wouldn't if I was the Isles. Not sure about Bellows, think they might get better from another team

The Rangers actually know how to develop players I don’t want to send any of our prospects to them. They don’t have a chimpanzee running their farm team. Imagine trading them a prospect and being haunted by that for years afterwards. That’s why these teams never trade.

Too expensive for a rental, if you believe Upstate's sources....
