I’m gonna say Lou will try to make a deal before the next game.

I (frank)ing hope so. I’d hate to see what this bottom 6 would look like minus Clutterbuck, Cizikas AND Brassard.

Nah.

Rip on ‘em all you want, they’re still needed.

Give the Oilers Ladd instead.

Needed for what I'm not sure. I'll happily call up Wahlstrom to take one of the spots if Nuge were added. This would be my idea of a shakeup.

He might be coming up anyway. I’m thinking that puck broke something in Brassard’s face.

Tough for Brassard but let Bailey play the 3rd line and put Wahlstrom with Barzal.

We have to wait till Thompson is done fully destroying him before we call him up.

They're definitely not as good as they seemed when they had points in 17 straight. But I don't think they're as bad as they seem on this current slide, either. I'm sure they'll turn it around...it's just how far this goes before they stop the bleeding. They picked a terrible time to slump!

My issue is look at Colorado, McKinnon, rantanaan(out) makar, landeskog ect.
Caps, ovie, Backstrom, kuzy, Carlson, Oshie, ect
Pens, 87 71 73( letang)
Tampa.......
Boston......
Philly......
All these teams have 3 or 4 top end players and can win on talent sometimes when they aren't going. The isles need to outwork every team every night and have barzal, they just dont have the talent

You hit the nail on the head right here. They need to outwork every team you mentioned. Problem is they’re not putting on their hard hats and getting it done. If they get back to that they’ll be successful as we’ve seen in the past. If they don’t get back to their game they won’t even make the playoffs.

There is no urgency in their game at all. They get outworked every, single, game. I’m sick of Goring or Trotz or anyone else saying they deserved to win. It’s getting tiring and Capuanoish. This isn’t bad luck, hot goalies, or bad luck. Just (frank)ing stop with that nonsense you sound like Tanner. Acknowledge there’s a problem if you want to fix it.

Players are playing outside their roles and not doing what they need to do. I think Lee is a prime example of this. Barzal has been terrible. They’re all taking the easy way out all the time. Lazy plays, weak clearing attempts, low percentage passes, etc you know the deal. They can fix it if they want too. Thing is I’m not sure they do?

High end talent matters and still gives you a very good chance to win even if they get eliminated in the 1st round in rare occasions.

Thompson seems to love coaching all the offensive talent out of players.

I just don't think it's smart to be in the rental market at this point, especially if Brassard is out long-term. None of the rentals out there are going to turn this team around, that's gonna have to come from within.

I hope Toga can work with Barzal on break always as well as Nelson

Lol I turned that poop off, but doesn’t surprise me. We have few if any finishers and no one is chipping in. This sucks.

They just cant finish although the avs speed or isles lack of was glaring last night. They can win if they play hard but it's hard to do it every game and I think sometimes teams are bad but star players make that great play and they pull a win out. If hitting posts were goals this team would be on a 4 game winning streak. Hard to say if they are unlucky or what here but it needs to change and fast. They went from an 8 point lead over 3rd place to tied for the wildcard........they have been pretty bad since the win streak tbh and honestly what trade can they make that's really going to put them over the top? 53 and 15 back would be huge but they don't score a ton I think a trade may just be throwing picks they also need for the future for a team that's not in win now mode. I'd love to be wrong and see a move that reinvigorated this team and they go on a run but I'm skeptical that they can
