It would have helped if Dobson could have handled more minutes but he is not ready yet.

- ses111

He’s not. Just not big enough imho.

Kid goes and gets an off ice trainer like Barzal and or Beau and he will come into training camp really competing for a starting position but this year he was just not ready agreed.

I mean yes, but a Center is what we need, so Lou is going to pay a big price for Pageau if in fact he’s available. If I’m the Sens I’m waiting until the TDL to get the most out of it, if in fact he’s getting traded.

There may be a move out there for a player with term that no one is looking at or thinking of that we get done Ses.

Bailey and Budreau for Pageau?

I agree he will probably be traded Monday if he is traded.

That won’t get it done imho.

No reason to trade Bailey at this point. If we get 1 or 2 top 6 guys and Bailey is now a top 9 then we have improved.

I cannot blame Lou if he cannot make this type of deal. What is your take on the Greene deal chief?
- ses111

It was fine, more than I thought he was worth but it obviously filled an important need. He looked good tonight.

Only works in me dreams.

Bailey and Nelson are just not my type of players 7. I blame the Dynasty Isles. I grew up watching Tonelli, Gillies, Nystrom, and the Sutter brothers to name a few. Tough players with skill. I have a hard time with lazy players like Bailey and Nelson.

I'd rather have given up a 4th but that would not work. Greene did look good.

I just read the blog and I'm not sure how hes a depth move, he logged 20 min a night in jersey and was very good tonight. Hate to tell you but every team needs a responsible d man like him that is sound and keeps it simple. I believe lou will try to add another guy up front at what cost I'm not sure but it will be interesting for sure

Wow more like our bottom 6 guys lol.

Nelson honestly since Casey has been out has been up against the opposition teams best scoring line. Casey MM and Leo are better at that and for me Beau and n are the MVPs of the season up until now for me Ses. Sorry to disagree.

Honestly Greene may have been our best Dman in the game to night overall.

I've seen enough of Lee on that top line. He's dead weight out there and cant even accept a pass cleanly at this point. Would like to see a Beau and Barzy tandem.

Our bottom 6 players could not make those Isles teams. I like Beau. Nelson and Bailey need to pick it up no excuses. Both players are strong enough to play a physical game they just do not have the heart to do it.

Meh, Beau and Barzy dont work for me. Beau watches Barzal and doesn’t play his game when playing with Barzal.

As far as Lee, he is an animal on the boards and in front and also on puck retrieval. Underrated really for me.

Honestly Nelson at this point is the MVP with Beau for me.

Nelson was great up until recently. But he's something like a -6 in the past 7 games, and that includes his 3 assist game against the Caps. I get what you're saying about him getting assigned to play against other teams' top lines, but still.....

Lee is not scoring from in close like he has in past seasons. His deflections and other close-in shots just aren't going in.

So it has Trotz playing him where he doesn’t fit but is a better option than Barzal.
So the better option is playing Barzal against them and going -10?
Fact is Casey going down kills the 3/4th line even though it’s a bottom 6 and should be easily replaced however the real answer is they are an important part of the team and are struggling because guys thatt are used to scoring are now trying to keep the other teams best scorers off the score sheet and also score. Typically that doesn’t work.

Ever since JT the teams 1C left and wasn’t replaced there is a big hole in the C position for me.

Nelson's best spot is probably 3C. 2C is a stretch for Nelson. Bailey as well as a top 6 player is a stretch.
