I know not telling you anything you don't already know, but that's all dependent on who the player is. If they were able to get someone that was good, I'm sure he'll move this year's pick too.

I'm probably about as big a draft nerd as there is in this thread and also probably one of the more conservative guys when it comes to trading picks...but if you told me we could land someone like Labanc or Kase for this year's 2nd and Otto Koivula...I'd be 100% on board.

Sharks just dealt Dillon for a 2nd and a 3rd in 2021 so there seems to be some, what I think are, more sensible deals happening so who knows maybe it starts a trend. Then the scandella deal happens 😂

4. This is good news for the Rangers, who continue to both negotiate with and generate the market for Chris Kreider. Teams I think are interested: Boston, Colorado, New York Islanders and St. Louis (there could be more, obviously).

I think Washington GM Brian MacLellan made a stealth move to see if he could get in on Kreider, but the Dillon trade probably takes him out of it.

10. It is rare that top-six centres become available, but Florida’s Vincent Trocheck is generating attention. Age 26, two more years at under $5 million — teams can handle that. Won’t be inexpensive. Trocheck rushed back as quickly as possible from an ankle injury last season, and there is debate about how much mobility that may have cost him. But, again, guys like him aren’t often acquirable.

Trocheck should probably be priority #1 for the Isles, if he's available

I don’t see how they’re going to keep Kreider and sign Strome and ADA. To me if they don’t sign one and keep Kreider I think it’s pretty stupid on their part. That Lundquist contract is biting them in the ass.

Sabres would be my team if the Isles moved.

Who else do you like? The Jets and Mets? Can we pay you to switch teams?

Yeah Ranger fans like calling him that which is to me both funny and awkward to the point it makes me cringe.

This is the thanks I get for my NY loyalty? All have you know the Isles became a dynasty a few years before I became a fan.

The Islanders are among the teams with serious interest in Chris Kreider. Sense is NYI would prefer to work out an extension if they can iron out trade, but that might be unlikely. Either way, Isles in mix for rival asset.

Not really. They trade Kreider they get a haul. They will figure something about, but guaranteed Tony is staying, especially after they just traded Keane

Yeah who knows the last time it happened it was a decade ago for some bottom dweller and a sixth rd pick nothing. Seriously doubt it and in all honesty I don’t want kreider for what Ranger fans think he’s worth😂

If they’re going to spend those kind of assets go for a center in Pageau.

How not really? I just stated they won’t be able to sign both Strome and ADA if they kept kreider. Then you say they’ll definitely sign ADA. I believe you missed my point.
